This location does not have a grass outdoor area. Our dog would have loved to have a fenced outdoor yard instead of all day in a play room.

Our dogs were not excited to come. This was unusual for them. Two loved the dogtopia of Woodbridge. We aren't sure why. We gave it time but they seemed more and more timid about coming.
I would have like for the room to be bigger, just for the dogs to have more space to play and run. Also for the room to have windows in order to make it brighter so the dogs get daylight.

I recently had some feedback and the team addressed it with their staff! Nathan is awesome and makes things happen.
First of all - the staff were awesome. Dawson in particular put me at ease right away and our dog was readily welcomed into the group. I think she was happy there for a couple of hours but the play room was just a room with a ramp and other dogs in it. It doesn't seem like a place I'd like to leave her all day. We will definitely only use dogtopia in an emergency or for a short stay and probably in combination with a grooming appointment. Being able to take her there every six weeks for a play and a groom makes sense. Our regular daycare that we use two days a week, every week has a large outdoor play area, it's got all kinds of structures for the dogs to explore, they even put out paddling pools and there are lots of toys for them to play with. Dogs who are aggressive or possessive about toys aren't welcome into the "green pack" which means well trained happy dogs can play in all kinds of ways throughout the day. I also thought it was really odd that the dogs are just allowed to toilet themselves anywhere they want in the room. It was explained to me but I'm still a little put off by that. Seems icky... So Tilly had a good experience for the short time I was there but the facility was definitely "underwhelming.'

The facility is clean, there are cameras so we can check in on the dogs. The manager and her team are friendly and my dog loves them.

I feel the dog to employee ratio is not enough. I took my dog in on a saturday at opening (10am) and he was kenneled at lunch (12:30), more than 2 hours later he was still kenneled. I watched the cameras and he wasn't taken out so I decided to pick him up and when I got there (3pm) he was still in the kennel as I continued to watch the cameras on my way there. I was charged a full day when in reality my pup only had play time from 10am - 12:30pm
I'm taking this at face value so will no longer be bringing my dogs to dogtopia.

Your communication with owners is top notch! I’m always aware of any changes in my dog’s health and needs while I’m away. We also like the spa services for our large dog who is difficult to bathe at home. She always comes home smelling and looking great!
