What I love:
The staff are fantastic—so caring and attentive with all the dogs. The rooms are well set up for activities, and I really appreciate having access to the webcams so I can check in on my dog throughout the day.
Area for improvement:
I’d love to see more flexibility in the package options. Right now, committing to a set number of days per week means paying for days even if I don’t use them. I understand this model helps with revenue predictability and supports staffing stability—which I fully respect. That said, offering packs of “days to use” (even at a slightly higher rate) could provide more flexibility for customers while still supporting your business needs.
I do find that the caretakers don't pay a lot of attention to the dogs, I think there should be 2 of them in the rooms, I know that puppies are often in the beach room but they can be a bit bigger than the small dogs in there, they need a lot of direction and play. I can ignore my dog at home but take him there for the stimulation and socialization. I often take a look in when my dog spends a day there and I see the caretaker wandering around but not engaging a lot with the dogs or keeping an eye on a new dog being dominated by another dog (not just mine but I do see that happening as well).

Our Rottweiler Ziggy is only 5 months old and horrible separation anxiety. He has only gone twice so far, but gets so excited when he sees the girls up front! They are so kind and caring. They always answer my dozens of questions!
I don’t just feel like our puppy is safe at daycare, we feel she’s loved! We love hearing funny stories and the amazing crafts they make with her. Such an incredible staff!
-would not put chalk drawings on floor. Dog comes back dirty. I would take him more often if he didn’t come back dirty.

Love the team that watch the dogs. It is why I calm back.
I’ve been very happy with the care at Dogtopia Longwood. I always feel Dunkin is safe when he’s there. The only thing I would highly suggest is some sort of bell or alert at the front door. I understand front end staff has to go in the back at times, but for their safety AND for the efficiency of dropping or picking up our dogs, it would be helpful if they know when that front door opens.
On two occasions, I have had to go back to my car to get my phone so I could call and let someone know I need to drop off or pick up. If someone came in who shouldn’t be there, no one would know. That could be potentially dangerous for the staff and for the dogs.
Dogtopia at Virginia Beach is the best! Driving there BB knows as we are getting closer, she gets so excited for her day of fun. The staff is wonderful! You can tell they care about the dogs. The little things that they do, for example photo day always put a smile on my face when she comes home with her picture. The report cards are so special! All in all one word to describe VB Dogtopia…..Awesome!! Thank you, Mary
The staff is very knowledgeable and caring for each individual pet. Schedule is flexible and so far my needs and Berts needs have been met..

Tulip loves going there and playing with other dogs and being around the people that work there. She gets sooo much energy out and has fun while we are at work and we love being able to check on her with the camera in the app.

I’m incredibly grateful for the joy Dogtopia brings to Dorothy. Her excitement the moment we pull into the parking lot is simply heartwarming—it reminds me so much of the pure, eager joy my older kids used to have when heading to preschool. Dorothy absolutely lights up with happiness, and that genuine enthusiasm means the world to me.
Knowing she’s not only safe but genuinely happy while she’s there gives me such peace of mind. It’s incredibly important to me that she’s cared for in an environment where she feels loved—and that she comes home just as happy. The staff at Dogtopia go above and beyond—they greet her with such joy and kindness, and it's clear they truly care for every fur baby that walks through their doors.
It’s also such a pleasant surprise to have her return home clean and fresh—something that not all places provide. And the special treats! They’re like gourmet desserts! Just knowing that she will savor them is such a delight.
Dogtopia’s team is nothing short of amazing—always polite, friendly, and happy to engage in meaningful conversations. You can tell they love what they do, and it shows in the way they care. For all of this, I’m truly thankful.
I really appreciate the staff at Dogtopia Westminster-Broomfield and how well they treat my dog (and his BFFFs)! I also like that I can have grooming done at daycare - it is convenient for me and adds a lot of comfort for my pup. Thank you, Dogtopia team!
I like the flexible hours, the positive environment, knowledgable staff and fun special events. I love the extra services available like grooming. And, of course, I love being able to watch the webcams. One idea that might generate a little extra income for you (if other people were interested) could be a once a month "date night" where there was a short 3 hour session offered Friday or Saturday evening at a half day rate. Our dog is so happy when she is there and also when we are home with her, but has such separation anxiety that it makes a movie or long dinner out really challenging... sometimes she's fine and others she wigs out.
