Milo has been with the Temecula family since he was a small pup. They always take great care of him, he looks forward to going everyday. It gives me great peace to know he is well taken care of. Milo has experienced most of the services offered.

How did we disappoint you and what can we do to make things right?

I'm going to start off by saying that my dog LOVES it there. Loves it! And your employees are great with her and adore her.

However, I would have a really hard time referring a friend to your location because my fear would be that what happened to me would also happen to them. And then, I would look like an idiot.

Twice, I have had unbelievably awful experiences booking boarding for an out of town trip.

The first time was maybe a year and a half ago. I called a few days before my trip and booked her for most of a week. The person on the phone booked the time and cheerily said see you then. What she didn't tell me was that her vaccines were expired and you wouldn't accept her without updated vaccines. That would have been an easy fix. I know that is a conversation that you have with clients because I've booked her before and have been told that. So, I get her to the vet, get her updated and everything is fine.

But, because I wasn't told that when I booked, I left town and when my daughter went to drop her off, she was turned away. As a result, I was working 16 hour days and had to spend a huge amount of time trying to find friends who would watch her for a night or two. I added a ton of stress to an already stressful work week out of town.

Now, more recently, I was out of town for a month and had a very tight schedule with several people helping me. I booked several nights of boarding throughout the month to help with people dropping her off or picking her up.

I know Gertie's vaccines are up to date, and I know that you have those records. Still, I called about a week before I left town to just make sure that everything was up to date. There was some weirdness with the account being under the name of a previous household member. But I was informed her vaccines were up to date and everything looked good. I asked the account to be put in my name and have the other person taken off like it has been for the past couple of years and was told that wasn't a problem.

So, on the day scheduled for drop off, my friend drives down from Ogden before work, only to be told that she needed her vaccines and you couldn't take her. After some conversation with him trying to figure out where that info was in your system, he drove her back to Ogden to drop her off at his house and had to reschedule his morning because he was running 90 minutes late to work.

I was out of the country and got a text from him explaining to me what had just happened. After a short conversation with him, I was just baffled and annoyed. I called the front desk and had a conversation with someone who just was unhelpful. She didn't seem to have ever heard of the name 'Gertie' because I had to say it 3 times and spell it twice.

She looked up my account and said there were no records of vaccination on it. I explained my call a couple weeks before and what I had been told and she just repeated that the records weren't there. I told her about the other account name, which was still in the system for some reason, and she told me there were no records of vaccination there either. I re-explained that I knew her records were up to date and I had double checked this before.At some point she 'found' somebody else's records and told me that she only needed her rabies and once she got that, she could be let in. I clarified if she had the right dog, she said yes, so I repeated her name and then she saw she was on another account. She also kept referring to my dog as 'him', which isn't a huge deal but under the circumstances I found it really annoying. Especially after I corrected her more than once.

Eventually she puts someone else on who was able to help. We first ended up on my account, which obviously hadn't had the information transferred from the other account. So when she got to the other account she found the actual, current vaccine records for my dog. She apologized several times for the mix up. And I booked daycare for the next day.

I understand that you have a new system for records and there have been problems with the changeover. But that is no excuse for the debacle that happened. First of all, I don't know how my account was completely lost and defaulted to someone who should have been completely removed more than 2 years ago. Then I don't understand when a dog named Gertie comes in how they couldn't find the accounts for her. As I understand it, there are only 2 dogs with that name who come in to your place. Then when I explain to someone on the phone that I checked two weeks ago and was told things were OK, why she didn't even acknowledge that fact. She just kept telling me the records weren't there. Never once did she seem to comprehend that I had explicitly been told she was up to date. Then, I don't know how she ended up on another dog's records about a missing rabies shot. And then, when she checked the other account, she told me again that there were no records there. We know that is completely wrong because the person that helped me found them immediately.

So, I can't refer someone else to Dogtopia Holladay because I can't risk that the same thing would happen to them. I could let one time slide, but the problem is obviously systemic. Honestly, I'll bring her back because like I mentioned before she loves her time there. I'm not one to go online and put companies on blast but I don't have a lot of confidence in your operations right now.

Friendly caregivers and such a joy to be around. Our dog is so happy there. Great care and socializing that she’s become a different pup since starting there.

i love that even after a year everyone still remembered Taco and if they didn't they didn't show it. He absolutely loves coming to daycare and even with all his energy they seem to love him too. Its a great feeling to be able to drop him off and honestly not worry. If he needs a bath or trim he can get it right there. Full Service Dog paradise at an affordable price.

How did we disappoint you and what can we do to make things right?

Your business is kept clean from what I can see of it, and the people are nice. So far I've only used you three times just to get my dog some exercise and socialization with other dogs. The first time I was checking in by video and was pleased the staff person in the room was interacting very nicely and consistently with all the dogs, however I did not see her encouraging them to play at all. No toys available, just the plastic boxes to stand on and a few beds to sit on. Otherwise the dogs were all just standing and following her around. This last time I checked the video probably 10-12 times and did not see the staff member interacting with them at all. She was quick to clean up messes but otherwise not doing anything. I have used other daycares for my previous dogs and they had balls and other rubber type toys for them to play with and staff would throw them around to encourage interaction.
I will use you again if necessary when I can't take the dog with me somewhere, but it will not be my first choice.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly appreciate you noting our cleanliness and friendly team, and we’re glad your pup has been able to get exercise and socialization with us.

I’d like to address your concern about toys and staff interaction. We do use toys in our playgroups when it’s appropriate. Every playgroup is a little different, and we adjust the use of toys depending on the dogs in the room. Some dogs can become possessive over balls or other toys, which can lead to tension, so we remove them when needed to prevent conflicts and keep everyone safe. Safety is always our top priority.

That said, our team should absolutely be actively supervising and engaging with the dogs throughout the day — not just cleaning up. We will be reviewing your feedback with our staff to ensure we’re maintaining the level of interaction and enrichment our clients expect.

What do you like about our services?

Dogtopia Columbus Downtown will be my go to place for Doggie Daycare when I travel to Columbus, Ohio. They were very accommodating with drop off and pickup times, and Nilla loved everyone on the staff. They took excellent care of her and she came home tired and happy.

I travel a lot and when there is a Dogtopia nearby I bring Nilla because I know she will be well taken care of.

Independently owned but operated under the same philosophy and they treat your pet like family.

I highly recommend this location for your fur baby.

How did we disappoint you and what can we do to make things right?

The last few times my pup visited the facility it has been smelling bad there. More recently when I brought my pup home he smelled like the odor from the facility. If this continues, we will seek to take him to the newly opened doggy daycare within our community. Really like the staff but the smell is becoming a turnoff.

What do you like about our services?

The way they welcome the dogs. Our dog runs to greet the employees. Luke is almost seven he has been going to Dogtopia at least four years. He’s always been so happy to go. We have never had one single issue in those four years and that goes for Luke too!! I highly recommend Dogtopia if you want your dog well cared for without any worries!!!!

Love being able to watch my pups while away via the cameras. It’s nice to be able to check in and see them having a great time. I also love that they are well cared for in a climate controlled environment. Although I miss my pups while traveling, I know they are safe and well cared for at Dogtopia of Viera!

Easy to schedule online. The staff is kind and remembers our dog's name. The webcams are a nice touch to be able to watch what is going on there. It is cute how they take photos and keep us updated on what our dog is up to at daycare.
