Friendly staff
Exceptional communication and passion for the dogs. Dogtopia Downtown Cleveland has amazing staff, facilities, and activities. I get joy loading up the cameras to see how much fun my pup is having, and knowing staff always has eyes on her.
My pet came home and defecated a large amount of feces after struggling and straining to do his business. I wonder whether he had a routine daily defecation during the stay of 3 days/2nights there. He is house-trained and won't do that in house. I understand when your staff explained you are using enzyme cleaner to clean floors, but it might be me that somehow, I do not remember if your staff explained whether dogs can have a time to walk outside or your business in Mechanicsburg has no yard for their outside eliminations.
He is all good now, but I wish to get more detail of their daily routines, like eating, drinking, urinating and defecating during the stay.
Anyway, your place helped when we needed and we appreciated it.
Our dog is so happy when we pull into the parking lot. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Thank you for your kindness!
Great staff with clean environment
The team at Hickory Hollow location is awesome! They love my Coop & he loves it there .
You haven’t charged extra for events
All of the staff take personal time to get to know all of the dogs and they are very welcoming
Everyone is so nice! It's a great comfort to know our fur kids are loved and taken care of while they are at Dogtopia - whether for daycare or overnight bording!
Your cameras for viewing are horrible. Most times they do not work. Also, the amount of time the dogs get to be out of their crate and playing is too short.
Our dog recently started going to Dogtopia and he absolutely loves it! We were worried because we’ve had not so great experiences at other daycares, but this place is amazing. You can tell they truly care about all of the dogs and each employee takes pride in their role and what they do. Our dog loves going and we have peace of mind that he’s being well cared for.
Very Friendly staff. My dog always comes home tired from all the playing.
The staff seem to love the pets and treat them exceptionally well
Our dog was bitten by another dog which led to an abscess costing us $2k in Vet bills. Our dog should have been seen by a vet immediately and removed from general population to lessen the chances of an infection.
Friendliness, questions always answered, how happy my puppy is to go,
LuLu loves to stay there
You remember my dog's names and seem to know all about their day! Everyone is kind....do dog parents as well as our doggies :-)
I should preface this all with this: we came from the Dogtopia of Downtown Cleveland and Whitney and Alex have at the bar high.
The experience at the Woodbridge location was lack luster from the moment I arrived and was greeted like a burden because the coach was not familiar with the new “no meet and greet required if you’ve passed at another location” policy and several others had arrived for drop off. She had an attitude and didn’t bother to loop me in or communicate more than frustration while she picked up her phone to call the GM to further voice her disdain… so I stood there looking like an idiot. Suzanne fumbled in the door, but ultimately made up for it with her better customer service and my concerns were quelled enough to leave my baby in her care.
I asked, before I left, if there were any activities he could participate in. There was and I requested he be included with the promise of a photo sent home. Lol the photo I received was not a print of the photo of my dog, but a laminated piece of paper with a photo of his paw print in sand… but I digress because the truly frustrating part of this entire experience came in the core services themselves.
Every time I looked at the cameras, my dog was either crated or being mounted by another dog. The one coach in the room was somewhere else much too busy and vastly outnumbered. I left as soon as I could log off for the day to go rescue my bestie.
When I picked him up, he smelled so terrible we had to go straight to petsmart to get shampoo (we just moved to the area and the shampoo was still packed away). I never once had that issue coming home from Cleveland.
And to top it all off, when I communicated my frustration with Suzanne, I was told she would look into it and get back to me. Did she ever get back to me? No.
Pet friendly atmosphere plus courteous staff. Attention to detail as well as up-to-date technology makes this a very smooth operation and one our Ryley truly enjoys.
Everyone is so nice & welcoming. So knowledgeable & welcoming.
You are the best. I know that my dog is safe and happy. There is no comparison to another daycare. Evie is 7 and been going there since she was a puppy. Highest recommendation.
High price/low value
I like that the staff is nice and very helpful. I also like that a person is in the rooms with the dogs the whole time and that they keep the rooms clean.
Took good care of my German Shepherd, when he doesn’t want to be with others they let him be by himself in his suite and didn’t force him to come out if he didn’t want to.
Will come back to Dogtopia
Mr. Beau says you are warm friendly caregivers who spoil him with love, care, and good food and treats. He also enjoys the spa, and making friends with dogs his own size and demeanor. There’s a reason you all are called “Dogtopia”.
I liked the way Bella was treated while her long stay with Dogtopia
Miso had the best time at daycare, as always! I always feel completely at ease knowing she’s cared for and loved by the staff. We haven’t been able to visit as often recently, but the moment we pulled up, Miso knew exactly where she was and couldn’t wait to go inside. That says it all!
The staff are wonderful, the cameras let me check in anytime, and the rates are great!
I want to start by saying that, overall, your staff has been wonderful. It’s clear they are knowledgeable and genuinely care about the dogs in your care. We went through the meet-and-greet process without any issues, and even brought our pet in for an additional day of daycare beforehand, as your team recommends.
However, during the actual boarding experience, we encountered some concerns that highlighted a lack of organization. When I dropped off my pet, I inquired about the special paid events and was told that Cowboy photo day would be Friday and popsicles would be given on Saturday. I was asked to note these requests on the boarding paperwork I completed, which I did, and was told this information would be entered into the computer system.
I also specifically requested a peanut butter lick mat each day of her stay, as she tends to avoid eating her food while boarded and I wanted to ensure she would eat something. Unfortunately, when I picked her up, I was told that the Cowboy photo was never taken—hence why I never received one—and staff were unsure whether she had received her frozen treat at all. Apparently, nothing was notated. I was not charged for the lick mats, so I assume those were not provided either?
When I originally signed up for the meet-and-greet, I received a pop-up message stating that if I booked a boarding reservation the same day, the cost to board would be $50 a day. I mentioned this at the time of booking, but was ultimately charged the regular rate instead of the promotional one. I didn't notice this until I got home and got an email from my CC stating a purchase had been made without my card present. It just wasn't worth my time to call and complain considering the entire overall experience was poor.
In addition, when I picked up my pet, I was not initially given her belongings, which included a blanket, toy, and leftover food. It was also evident that she had not been fed lunch on Sunday, even though I picked her up after 3 p.m. I’d like to clarify—what time is lunch typically served? After realizing that I left without the bag I had brought in, I immediately returned inside from my car to ask for her items.
Lastly, I’ve brought this up during both of my visits, but it’s worth mentioning again: my daughter’s pet, who is my dog’s sister, regularly attends the Brookhaven location for daycare and boarding. She consistently receives photos during her visits, which is very reassuring to a pet owner. In contrast, I have not received a single photo from your location. I was told that your team is too busy to provide photos, which I understand to a degree, but the inconsistency between locations is disappointing. It would be great if there was a more uniform experience across all branches.
While I appreciate the care and attention your team shows in many areas, these oversights were disappointing and created unnecessary confusion. I hope this feedback is helpful in improving the experience for future boarders.
Very positive and safe environment provided- always a pleasure for both Luna & I to go there!

The staff is extremely friendly
