We were looking into half day daycare but since there is 2h kennel hold/lunch middle of the day it don’t make much sense for us. If she is “locked down” half of time she may as well stay home :)
Your space is amazing just don’t work for us.
First time our dog Hershey stayed in October 2024, he came down with a cough that turned into pneumonia and he almost died - $13K vet bill with several overnight stays in an oxygenated cage at Katonah-Bedford vet. We can share copies of the bills. He was not exposed to any other dogs before or after being at Dogtopia and likely fell ill due to his stay.
We tried again last week (week of August 10th), despite my husband’s disapproval. Hershey was not himself at all when he got home - discharge from his eyes, constant sniffling, beyond tired. Vet confirmed an eye infection and prescribed medication for his eyes as well as an antibiotic for his sickness, and we’re keeping a close eye. He lost 3 lbs so we’re focused on bringing him back to his adorable, healthy animated self. Front desk staff seem very nice but when my mother informed them, no compensation was offered.
Hershey will NEVER stay at Dogtopia again.
My pet is excited to go there every time and comes home ready to sleep.
Playtime seems controlled. Workers know my dog.

Friendliness and love for the dogs
Staff takes care of dogs like they are family. I know they are taken care of.
The staff are cheerful and professional, the calendar of monthly dog fun activities, the pictures from those activities, the ease of the reservation app including grooming, the facility location and cleanliness, facility hours, and the friendliness of other dog's humans you pass when dropping your pup off.
It is easy to book online, the staff are very helpful and friendly, and my dog enjoys going there.

Dogtopia has been an amazing experience for Charlie, and we are very comfortable leaving him in the capable hands of their staff. He's a high-maintenance wimp of a dog that cries like a baby when we drop him off. Dogtopia's staff has been wonderful helping him (and us) to overcome that anxiety.
The service provided is very good. I appreciate the updates. And my dog is always very active when he is there.
Im concerned my dog picked up a virus. She was at Dogtopia all day Monday, vomited Tuesday morning, and Wednesday our other resident dog has been vomiting.

During the grooming process. The groomer called me first to see if she can cut my dog's hair shorter than requested due to many knots. I was very impressed!
We started in Ahwatukee but moved to the Tempe location for convenience thinking all Dogtopia's are the same. They are not! Skye completely regressed. She turned into a dog that hid in the corner & didn't want to get out of our car during drop off. We couldn't figure out what happened but decided to move her back to Ahwatukee. Your management/staff welcomed us both back & immediately Skye's behavior starting changing to what it used to be. She clearly feels safer in this environment & I credit this to the coaches in the room truly being the alpha. Bad behaviors are corrected. I could go on about how thankful I am to the Ahwatukee location. I love seeing her on camera bound around playing with others.
I believe the care for my dogs was very good. The problem was communicating with Dogtopia of Herndon while my dogs were there.
On pickup day, I called several times between 10:00 am and 11:00 am to let them know I would be picking them up 1 1/2 hours early. I left one voice mail message and left 1 call back request (by pressing *). When I arrived at 2:00 pm, they were surprised I was there (as the pickup time was 3:30) and the dogs were in the play room and had not received their bath or nail trim. I asked what I should have done to get through, as I left a voice mail message and called back and pressed star * for a call back. The response I received was, "I have no idea". Then I asked if the dogs were good girls while they were there and the response I received was "yes".
My dog seems happy to be dropped off and although she is not particlarly active when I peek in, I think she is contenet and I know she is safe. Your hours and location are convenient for me.

Very friendly staff, they truly care about the dogs and if there are any issues I am immediately called and notified about even minor problems that arise. Happily trust my dog at you location.
