The spa service and front desk representative was fantastic, 10/10. However, another employee (who did not wash or treat my dog in any way), thought it was okay to question me about my dogs health because she is old and chunky. Went as far as to ask me about her eating habits and offered her advice on how I can better feed my dog. When I told her that my Vet insists my dog is perfectly healthy and she eats how my Vet told me to feed her, she continues to offer personal advice and basically tell me what im doing isn't good enough. She insulted me and my dog all because she didn't approve of my dog’s weight. (Super weird and unprofessional) Will not be back because of it. It made me very uncomfortable. I did not get the employee’s name because I was just trying to get out so that I can never come back.
Our Golden Retriever, Mollie, loves coming to doggie daycare at Dogtopia. She plays with her friends all day, goes in the wading pool, and is tired by the late afternoon when we pick her up. Additionally, the staff are delightful and helpful, especially Alex. You can tell they are dog lovers.

This was our 1st experience with Dogtopia and not a very good one. Our dog is an experienced PetSmart day camper and boarder and loves going there to socialize with both the dogs and people. We were unable to tune in to your webcam in the morning due to other commitments, but when we did so in the afternoon, we found him in a crate in the playroom while the other dogs played freely. We tried to call there to find out if he was sick or hurt, but no one answered the phone. We left a message requesting a call back and never got one. We tried a 2nd time to call 20-30 minutes later and still no answer. We finally went over there almost 2 hours earlier than planned to retrieve our dog. We were happy when he greeted us with his normal enthusiasm. When we questioned the staff, we were told he didn't want to come out of the crate. That's just not like him AT ALL, so we decided in light of the fact that we couldn't get a return call and he was basically crated for a substantial fee of $50, our future day camp needs would be better suited at PetSmart even though it was a much farther commute from our hotel. We visit San Diego multiple times each summer from Phoenix and had high hopes for Dogtopia following his meet & greet. The staff seemed friendly and we had no qualms before taking him for his 1st day of camp. We're sorry it didn't work out for us but we decided to go with our hearts to our tried and true PetSmart in spite of the extra travel inconvenience for us.

Convenient and friendly
Your employees are friendly, and is great to watch my dog on the webcam.
I love the staff and that they know the idiosyncrasies of my dog, greet him so warmly when he comes in, and care for him so lovingly while he is there. The all in one place for daycare, spa, boarding offerings causes so much less anxiety for my pup because he knows where he is going and knows the people so well. He LOVES the days he goes to Dogtopia!
The ease and availability of day care.
I have been using Dogtopia for daycare for several weeks now and love the service they provide. The dogs are supervised constantly by a person in the room and by webcams so any issues are dealt with in a timely manner. It is great that owners have access to the webcams too. The staff seem to genuinely know and love the dogs and care about their wellbeing and development.

My dog seemed happy. They really cared for her when she brushed her nose on the crate. (She wasn’t used to sleeping in the crate). I really liked that I could see her on the video. Thank you

When we drop off our chocolate lab, it’s like leaving her with her second family. They know her name, she’s always SO excited to go into her room to play with her doggie friends. The staff treats her like their own and I love that about this group. I love how there is a monthly calendar to see what each day brings of activities. It’s a refreshing feeling knowing your dog is happy, safe, and healthy.

I was not satisfied, it was my second visit. I asked the groomer not to cut my dog hair low and she cut it very very low and it took over three hours for her to finish
