Would be service ,it’s nice to have your service rep. Call you back to discuss what the issue is and route to fix it. I have bought other brands from other dealers , it’s all good until service , they tell you our service is Johnny on the spot , but 9 times out of 10 not true, it’s all good thur the sale, then once money has traded hands , they forgot all about you.
Very easy and stress free. Everyone was very professional and helpful in our buying experience. They didn't have exactly what we wanted on the lot, so they ordered a unit from the factory with everything we wanted. A brand new 2026 edition with all the new upgrades.

Quality and professional service
The experience in Ocala was very organized and intentionally planned out and I like a plan.
Things went south when generator smoked and failed. Everyone was very helpful at the desk in front of parts dept, service manager and 3+ techs, and others to try to resolve in a few hrs before we needed to leave.
General Canton has now pulled the generator and hopefully a proper repair and install will solve this issue and we will enjoy the van.

Service provider communicated with us while our fifth wheel was in for service and explained required repairs. Units was fixed and available for pick-up earlier than anticipated.

I would say that General RV’s system does NOT provide clear documentation showing items and costs. The printouts are convoluted and not easy to read, meaning; it isn’t clear how the final / total charge the customer is asked to pay is arrived at - no clear statement.
This should be remedied or, if the system cannot be corrected, personnel should be trained to offer to explicitly review in detail (without having to be asked). My strong point is: the lack of clarity of the statements allows - even creates - the perception of hidden charges or fees. This is something I warn folks about when talking about General RV. In this day and age, there is no excuse for lack of clarity and transparency of charges for goods and services.
From sales to service, we were treated very well. Ryan Cox was our salesman and did an excellent job showing us features on each of the RVs. We looked at. Joey did a phenomenal job with our financing and answered all questions while ensuring that we understood the process. The maintenance department did a fantastic job wiring up our vehicle for a Toby behind. Everyone was extremely helpful and made us feel very comfortable while waiting in the dealership. I would highly recommend the Virginia General RV dealership to a friend.

The General RV folks are very positive and friendly. That makes the other service issues a little easier to take. After exhaustive tests in July on our refrigerator, it was determined that a new controller was needed. We made an appointment to have it installed in September, but after driving 330 miles for the installation, the part was not in as expected. Another appointment in October, another 330 miles. The part was installed, but the refrigerator still didn't work. Now the refrigerator needs replaced and another 330 mile trip is necessary. This is the process. It needs to change. It's not the people like Heather or Nate who are at fault. Gen RV needs to revamp how they do service. And yes, it can be done. Ive heard from others in the waiting room and they went through similar experiences. This system is not friendly to the customer, even though the people are great. Happy to help redesign how this works.

Nat our sales representative was knowledgeable of the camper, easy to work with and made a deal fast. Sean the finance representative was also friendly and made the signing of paperwork work quick and painless. The day of delivery went smoothly and addressed all of our concerns.
