The mechanics at Bicycle Habitat were so friendly and enthusiastic about making sure we found the right bikes, that they fit correctly, and that we were safe and comfortable riding around NYC. I've never had a bike mechanic spend so much time helping me choose gear, without trying to up-sell me to fancier stuff that I didn't need.

I had a flat tire and Poncho was able to patch it up and get me on my way in less than a 20 mins. Great vibe at the store.

Bicycle Habitat is a great little repair shop with a full range of services and a super friendly & casual staff. I got a flat tire on my way to Prospect Park and these guys had me rolling on my way within 15 minutes during the post-work hour with multiple people in line for repairs. The best spot if you find yourself in a pinch in the area, and a very reliable neighborhood shop if you live in Prospect Heights.

I came to your store on Saturday (08/19/2023) and talk to a young saleman. I said I would like to buy an All-City Thundermone. His response I will take one down and you can look at it. Ten minutes later, still no bike was shown to me and the same saleman was outside having a drink. I have to ask someone else for service. I have never experienced anything like that in buying bikes for 30 years. I do not know if it was because being an African-American but it left me with bad image of Bicycle Habitat. Eventually I was able to purchase the All-City but I would never tell to come here because of the service. My name is Name removed and email - Email address removed
Miles Schiff-Stein provided excellent customer service. He took time to show us several options and patiently answered all our questions. We visited the store only with the intent to window shop for bikes, but ended up buying on the spot.
