Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Very welcoming store, and you can't say that about a lot of bike shops.
Quality work, fair pricing, quick service.
Excellent staff, customer service and efficient rapid repair team make Bicycle Habitat the ideal bike shop to go to in NYC.
Thank you Justine, Nate and Anthony for your courteous, friendly and fast problem solving with my issue.

Too expensive
Good communication- good service - and good location. Everyone I worked with was professional and nice.
Everyone at the shop was friendly and helpful. Libby set me up with a new helmet, bike repair kit, and a suitable lock. I am new to biking. Having a friendly group of knowledgable people available to walk me through everything was important to me.
Excellent bike shop with great people always friendly knowledgeable and helpful
Thanks to Tec Antonio and company, my bike is very smooth.
I was on the fence between a 52 and a 54 for bike sizing. I wanted to purchase my bike from bicycle habitat. I discussed this issue extensively with two different salespeople. Honestly, I think I annoyed them by how much I talked about it, but in my own defense I was planning to spend approximately $5k on a bike. I wish the two employees who helped me had just said that they did not have a bike fitter on staff, and so they could not provide me with the expert advice I needed to make the call. Instead, they told me that only I could really know what bike size I needed. Long story short, I ended up buying the wrong size bike and having to return it immediately. I have since had the opportunity to meet with a bike fitter, and I now know that it is actually possible to know what my correct bike size is. Today, I was treated with enormous care and respect at another shop and this has thrown into stark relief how bad my experience was at Bicycle Habitat.
Honest and fast service. Exactly what you want in a local bike shop.
The expertise made me comfortable betting my welfare and my son‘s welfare in the kid seat on the repairs proposed. Peace of mind that we were getting quality work done at a good price.
fast, accurate and reasonably priced.
Love my sl7 sport
Thank you so much
I have to fix brakes on my Sun's Bike. I went to Google, found three different places, then asked GPT which would be the best fit for a non-high-end bicycle fix that I can bring in the same day. It said that y'all would be the best, and I was not disappointed. I walked in to fix my son's bike. They were ready immediately, knew the problem, fixed it quickly, and were super nice.
Helpful, friendly and professional staff

Bicycle Habitat Vanderbilt's customer service representatives and technicians are very courteous, kind and knowledgeable. Customers are provided the most cost-effective services they need. The family-oriented environment created at Bicycle Habitat Vanderbilt makes it a pleasure to visit the location.
Fixed my. Immediate problem while I waited but also suggested an interesting longer term fix.
Wesley was incredibly helpful when trying to pick out a bike. He was patient through my dozens of questions and extremely knowledgeable. Ended up getting a great deal on a Checkpoint SL 5; I will definitely be coming back with any future cycling needs.

Extremely personable, very knowledgeable and really efficient!!
They are pros and do things the professional way
Why would you upsell me an ultegra cassette when I have 105 components? Why weren’t the brakes actually fixed?
The people who work at Bicycle Habitat are very helpful and the repair people are skilled.
The salesperson was very helpful, knowledgable and friendly.
Hi! I am an experienced cyclist who is not intimidated by the weird vibes of bike shops. But I so regularly have weird customer service experience at your shop that I would prefer to go anywhere else and dread going when I have to. Yesterday I called your Vanderbilt store looking for a road race (not aero) helmet. On the phone the sales associate was terrific and helped me figure out what helmet I should look for and said they had plenty in stock. When I showed up I first interacted with a different guy (tall, light skin, dark hair, seemed to understand Spanish) who was pretty rude -- didn't ask anything about what I was looking for in a helmet, spewed lots of random info about helmets at me, when I asked about a particular model he suggested it was too expensive for me ($300 range) but then told me to look at a, like $65 commuter helmed and an aero helmet (two diametrically opposed categories), then got distracted my a friend who came in with a kid and left me to my own devices; when the friend left he didn't come back to see how I was doing but also didn't go help any other customers either. I was fine with that but it was a parade of things that were just crappy and made me want to take my business elsewhere Luckily you employ other people and soon thereafter the guy I spoke with on the phone came over; he had pulled four models for me. Super cool of him. Turns out the one I liked best in the size and color I wanted (a $160 Giro) wasn't in stock, but he called the Park Slope store and said there was loads more stock there. As I was leaving he said that too few poeple come in looking to buy the nice stuff. So off I went. When I got there I worked with another competent person. There must have been a miscommunication someplace -- could have easily been on me -- and the helmet I thought I was coming there to buy was not, in fact, in stock. It took this person an unreasonably long time to check the stock -- definitely an opportunity for a faster system or better training on it -- but I ended up finding something I liked better that clocked in at $380 with tax. After the comment of the guys in the first store, I'm wondering if one of the reasons people don't buy the nicer stuff is because one of your employees is actively dissuading people from buying it both overtly and by being a jerk. But that's just my two cents.
Great selection, great service. Kate is fantastic!

Great selection and always outstanding customer service. Our family has purchased all our bikes from you for 10 years and we will continue to do so.
