When buying my first new bike, I went to all of the bikes shops on Clarence St in Sydney and gave each of them my brief for a new bike. Through that process, I understood what the differences were between each of the options based on my budget, but it was the service and the people made the difference and made me want to have a Trek for my first bike. A big shout out to Edreece who was the original team member who helped quote up the bike, organise a test ride and also followed up to check in, but not in a pushy sales kind of way. Andy was also super helpful when I came in for. the test ride and adjusted the fit after I came back the first time saying It wasn't right. So why not a 10? From my experience, I walked in a few times and wasn't able to catch the eye of anyone, so having an earlier acknowledgment of being in the store would make this a 10.
