This was my First time dealing with Cookson Cycles and they were brilliant from start to finish, they are a great set of lads, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what they do, I was made to feel very welcome and they made the process of buying my new bike so easy, I got my Amflow PR Pro at a time when there were very few in the country, they had it prepared, Snakeskin wrapped and delivered at a time convenient for me in 5 days, I could of had it in 2 days if I’d been available to pick the bike up. Highly Recommended will definitely use again.

Having decided to purchase a new e-bike, I visited two other local bike shops before going to Wheelbase in Ilkley. Unfortunately, neither experience was particularly positive. On both occasions, I was left to browse without anyone offering assistance, and when I eventually managed to speak to a member of staff, their response was rather unenthusiastic. I was also told I couldn't test ride the bikes, and I left both shops feeling as though they weren't particularly interested in making a sale.
My experience at Wheelbase couldn't have been more different!
From the moment I walked in, the staff were friendly, attentive and genuinely interested in helping me find the right bike. They took the time to discuss my requirements and even arranged for two different frame sizes to be brought in from another branch so I could compare them properly.
I was encouraged to try both bikes and was given plenty of time to make my decision, without ever feeling rushed or under any pressure to buy.
I ultimately purchased my new e-bike from Wheelbase, which also came with a complimentary service.
It's refreshing to find a retailer that understands the value of good, old-fashioned customer service. The whole experience was a pleasure, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wheelbase Ilkley to anyone considering buying a bike. A great example of how customer service should be done!

Very helpful and knowledgeable. A local bike shop that helps you out when you need it most. Came to my rescue recently when I broke a front wheel in a crash - checked I was ok, checked the bike over, got it aligned again, loaned me a spare wheel to get me home and booked the wheel in for repair. These guys are provide a really excellent, professional local service.
