Very clean and tidy appearance of the workshop, already reassuring as you walk in. Courteous and efficient staff beginning with the manager, Steve; willingness to accommodate an urgent repair (split tire spotted on my way in to work), and to work around my rather constrained schedule for the day so that I could pick the bike up before heading home; good communications (SMS & email) to ensure I was updated on progress and when job done. Overall, a shop which feels run by people who like their work and value their customers. I am not sure how competitive on price, but the bills have never felt so big as to make me want to look for alternatives, and the peace of mind of feeling the job will be well done is worth quite a bit.

Helpfulness
I thought that the service was excellent. I bought a new Brompton bike and the store set it up tubeless and changed the crank set for me, this was all done within 2 hours. Also the person who served me was very helpful and knowledgeable. He spent time making sure I could fold and unfold the bike before leaving. I will use the store again for sure.
I contacted the store about an issue I found with my Pearson hammerandtongs. Mail communications were extremely clear and helpful.
I ended up visiting the store twice to help resolve the issue and on both occasions the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful.
I'd like to mention Ben in particular, whom during my last visit to the store went the extra mile to fully resolve my issue and advise further other bike fit and mechanical things I could consider to make the most of my bike.
I would definitely recommend a store visit.

After Halfords totally messed up my sons bmx we took it to Cycles Uk Chelmsford who provided a wonderful quick and friendly service to sort out the wheels. When we replace the bike we will definitely be going back here. Super Happy

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Organised too! I phoned to see if you still had the Brompton G line in stock so I could take a look. When I arrived 30 mins later it was out and ready for me to have a look and take for a ride. Very nice atmosphere in the shop unlike some other local retailers!!!

Professional and friendly
Anytime I have been in the shop from a small purchase of gels or a big purchase such as tyres all the staff offer advice with out any need to purchases. On services time staff will always give you the best advice as to when you may need brake discs replaced or make suggestion to have something do in the future. Their knowledge of all the different bike ranges is great and recommendation for a particular bike that mike be good for you has never been wrong.
I get my bikes serviced with Joe Daly and have never been disappointed with the result.
If I am looking for something in particular and they may not have it in stock the will always try to source it for you or make a recommendation of another brand.
All the staff a very helpful and will do their best for you.
