Nurse Next Door is a dependable service for taking seniors to appointments, when family can't.
We have found the companions to be punctual, kind, careful and reliable. They will sit in with Dad and phone me afterwards to tell me how the appointment went, or leave notes in his file. I always feel like Dad is in safe hands - which is a relief because I don't live in his province.

The flexibility of the schedule at the same time the chance to choose the client base on our comfort level.

Lots of turn over in caregivers, would be happier if it remained one person for a longer length of time.

I bonded really well with my nurses. Very understandable and felt comfortable to be around.

Complete lack of organization when it comes to scheduling and employees who have little to no interest in doing what they are scheduled to do/or over qualified for tasks. High turn around of employees coming to the house. Seemed like every other week I was being sent someone new.

I am able to get the service when I want it. I have been happy with the service received. I do not feel that I require more service. I would like to remain as independent as possible. It is nice to know that the service is there when you need it.

Very quick to respond and caregiver is a very good match for my 96 year old mom!

I feel that having a qualified person looking after your injury, it relaxes your mind that everything is okay

The caregiver for my grandmother is outstanding.

This low score is due to the fact that my request for a caregiver went in LAST YEAR and there was very little / next to zero follow up with me on my request. This was due to the multiple staff changes at NND and nobody bothered to pass my file on for a continued search. Every time I called to inquire I had to explain my needs all over again which was extremely frustrating in an already challenging time. I don’t think I would refer anyone to NND for this fact.

You are really helping people

Our caregiver always listens to what we ask her to do. She makes my dad feel very comfortable and she takes such good care of him ( spoils him!) and he loves it! She is so kind and cares. My dad is blind and she organizes his home so much and so well that I never hear him complain about loosing things any more.

I cannot tell you enough what a difference this has made in my dad’s life. He asks all week when she is coming. I am currently rearranging my dad’s finances and will book two days a week instead of one day very soon.

Kathy looks for extras to be done and gives me the support and encouragement that we need. She arrives on time and after my bringing her up to date, she starts working.

Frequent need to redefine service requirements and high staff turnover.

Your nurses were kind and gentle and competent and understanding and caring and professional and amazing and wonderful. There aren't enough words to express our gratitude for their efforts in our mother's last days. We are blessed to have had your staff assisting us at this difficult time. We can't thank you enough.

Great service in reliability and trustworthy from the service that we receive

Poor communication with families, high turn over in office means I never know who I should contact. We develop relationships and then have to start over. I feel I often have to reach out for schedules, etc instead of them being provided. Or hca get scheduled for LPN shifts and off i didn’t correct no one know the better.
I had to call yesterday to confirm if someone was coming or not. I was told someone would confirm with me. No one did.
Most caregivers (Keiffer, Kesi, Alfia, seema) are great but we’ve had many that are not.

Great care...... but sometimes 3 hours are not needed. Have you thought of min. # of hours per week for some cases?

While we really like the caregiver we currently have, we believe ones like her are few and far between. Most of them are just glorified companions who do very little . Not worth the very high fee that is charged.

We don’t get any feed back as was requested at our last meeting.
