The cameras in the play room. I kind of wished I could see where they were sleeping.
I like being able to set up drop-off the day before and that you have special events for our pups.
My dog enjoys going for daycare, the staff are great with her and they are understanding and helpful about scheduling as well as our dog.
I had trouble accessing the WebCam initially and I was worried about my dog because it was her first time there though eventually I was able to get on. My dog gets pushed around in a pack and I would’ve like to talk about that with someone I called and left a message didn’t hear back. a daily sheet or some sort of summary when I picked her up after three days would’ve been nice so I know how she did while she was there. My husband was told she did good and that was it. Although to be fair, he probably should’ve asked more questions. Basically communication could be improved, but I understand everyone’s busy caring for the dogs.
Ease of booking.
Hazel seems to come home happy when I utilize the doggy daycare. I utilize the daycare when I am going to away from the house for more than 4 hours. She is a rescue dog and gets anxiety when I am gone but at the day care she stays busy and happy with companionship.
The play rooms are much smaller than Sanford . The smell of urine permiates the lobby . There are too many dogs in the play area with a fence down the middle, making the playroom even smaller. There is not enough cameras to view the area properly and to be able to see your dog at all points during the day
Friendly and welcoming staff, clean facility, and love the location that's practically in my "backyard!"

Great, friendly customer service, communication, and website is easy to navigate. The staff there are warm, inviting, professional, courteous, knowledgable, and take the time to explain the services offered and any questions one may have. Highly recommend. A++++
Everyone I spoke with was very kind and caring. Although I do not use their service often, my dog and I are always warmly welcomed.

I already gave feedback to the franchise. It did not make a difference. The feedback was oddly (maybe AI-generated) regurgitated back to me asking, "Is this your concern?" I said yes and of course it returned with "we take this very seriously. Signed from someone's name." Nothing changed. Then I got another email back saying, "Did (that someone) take care of your concerns?" First of all, no. But there had hardly been any time for this feedback to be addressed. My feedback was mostly two-fold. The smell of urine would knock you over. It took my breath away every time I went there. They warned me that it smelled like a dog park. Nope. Smelled like a shelter, at best. They make no bones about it; they do not take dogs out to do their business. The attendants walk around just cleaning up messes. Period. The rooms were never clearly seen on a camera. 2026 this is not hard. They completely disregarded this as being due to poor Wi-Fi in the building. This is the same reason that they explained away the billing problems that I experienced.
Too much hassle to get the dog in.
It's a clean space and the adult to dog ratio seems great. The employees don't seem overwhelmed and stressed.
The staff are friendly and kind to the dogs. I like the ability to check on my dogs by watching the webcam.

I feel so much comfort and security when I leave my dog for overnight stays. I truly trust the associates’ knowledge, care and affection towards my TeddyBear. Before we found Dogtopia, I was very hesitant to board him anywhere else because I did not feel comfortable with the level of care.
I appreciate that the associates are trained to take care of different types of dogs with different needs. I also appreciate that the dogs are separated into different rooms based off of size and/or temperament and that they are free to play all day.
Also, TeddyBear does really well with structure, so I appreciate nap time and the scheduled meals.
Dogtopia is so patient and loving towards my “velcro” dog :)

Everything! The people are so nice and my boy loves it there he had a lot of fun and comes home tired and doesn’t destroy things.
From drop off to pick up, everything was great! Everyone was great to work with. They made it easy! 😊

Staff at dogtopia Bakersfield are very tentative and responsive. Also, I appreciate that they asked for my dogs updated vaccination records. That means to me that they are making sure that all dogs who visit/stay at dogtopia are up to date (very important). Thank you!

Great staff, clean environment and well-managed. Very attentive to questions and concerns. My baby always comes home super happy and exhausted, which is exactly what I’m looking for.
Bristol was fantastic!!!! She made me feel so comfortable and that I could trust her with my dogs. Zorro and Zeus are 2 mutt rescues just over a year old. It was a tough first year but they have developed into fabulous members of the family, and are much loved. This was the first time we had boarded them, although they had been to the dog park quite often and love all other dogs, so we felt they would do great.
I like all of the staff I had the pleasure meeting. The ease of drop off and picking up. The fact that they are out of the kennels and with their friends much of the day. The outside yard so they get some fresh air during the day. The cameras letting me watch them interact!
Basically I like everything!
