Handling of incidents that invovle racial insensitivity. My daughter reported that a child made some skin color-related statments that made her feel emotionally hurt as a result of these comments that were made infront of other people allegedly. The handling of this issue was concerning, and it appeared to be dismissed as an unsubstantiated claim that could not be verified by camp leadership. this is the complaint as it was first reported.

I wanted to bring an incident to your attention that occurred today, July 1, 2026.
When *** came home from camp, she was very upset. She shared that one of her peers told her he didn't like her skin color and that she would "look better white." This comment deeply affected her, to the point that she said she wanted to change her skin color.
*** did not know the child's name, but she reported the incident to a staff member, who told the child to be nice.
I understand this may have been an isolated incident and that children come from different backgrounds and experiences. However, I find this type of comment unacceptable and wanted to make you aware of what happened. My hope is that the situation can be addressed appropriately and that all children are reminded about treating one another with kindness, respect, and inclusion.

The hours for the gym are not great. I would like to see 10 pm closing and 9 pm on Weekends. some people operate different hours. i go for the gym, not the pool so It is forcing me to have a second gym membership. I am considering ending my Y me mbership strictly for the inadequate hours.

I always feel welcomed there.. the facility is terrific, well maintained and clean. the staff is wonderful too !!! I highly recommend

There is lots to do for all ages

I have noticed that the facility is starting to smell like marijuana.

Instructors and staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.

The women's locker room needs a redo. Too many changing rooms and toilets. Not enough showers. Ceiling vents are dirty, shower curtains are ripped and need replacement. Shower faucets often dont work correct. The showers should be redone with doors...not curtains. The swim suit dryer should be relocated to the shower area so wet suits aren't carried across the toilet /sink are causing a slipping and electrocution risk.

The front membership office at the entrance is an embarrassing mess with stuff piled up.

Room climate, Fairfield does it right. Stratford fails.
