As first time RV buyers we were told that where you buy your RV is as important as what RV you buy!! Well, we weren't able to buy the new RV we wanted from General RV and we really wish we had!! We bought our new RV form a dealer in Washington and brought it home to pack it up and head out on our first adventure. While packing up and running the generator (cold Utah winter!) the CO2 detector kept going off. At first we thought it was because we were running it with the door open...so we closed the door and silenced the alarm. We continued to prep the RV and the alarm continued to go off. After investigating further we found that there was no exhaust installed on the generator! After paying the Washington dealer over $2k to do their mandatory safety and operations inspections they missed a life saving issue, they didn't install or ensure that the exhaust had been installed on the generator! Desperate we called General RV, they were amazing!! Got us in immediately so we were safe and could still get on the road. In the process of correcting the other dealers negligence they found additional issues that we had brought up with the other dealer and had been dismissed as us not knowing any better! The staff and service personal were amazing, they treated us with respect and kindness despite having purchased at another dealer. We'll never make the mistake of purchasing anywhere else again! Thanks for saving us...literally!!!
