I was quoted $260(ish) on the phone for a service and ended up paying over $1000. The amount of service did not change, but the tech told me that he needed more formula to clean up the dog pee smell than the people on the phone understood I would need. He commented that the people on the phone do not really understand how much formula is needed for these jobs. I feel like he either lied to me, since I do not know how much formula he used, or the people on your phones really do not know their jobs.
Thank you for your feedback! I can appreciate how frustrating that must be. We can quote carpet cleaning pretty accurately over the phone, most of the time, but unfortunately, restoration work, like removing urine from the carpet and pad, is very hard to accurately quote over the phone. It is something that must be seen and tested by the technician in the field to be able to determine what the restoration cost will be. This is something we are striving to improve through training and technology. We always verify with you the cost of the additional service before we perform, and advise the various options we have in order to give you the best result possible, while being aware of your budget. The important question is if you got the result you were looking for in the cleaning? If what the technician quoted you worked, and gave you clean, odor free carpet, and protected carpet, is that the result we were trying to get? We certainly aren't in the business of not knowing our stuff, but can only quote on what you tell us, and verify that with a walk through and confirmation before we start the cleaning. When I called to make arrangements for a complete cleaning of my mom's house, I was given a bid of $284 for a 2600 sq ft home, 3 bdrms, 2 halls, stairs, living room and family room. When the tech contacted me he said I would need to pay an additional $25 because of the size of the family room. Or he could clean half of that room for the $284. (Stupid!) Because I had already returned to Eugene, I had no alternative but to approve all the cleaning, paying the additional $25. You received the bid due to the original price. It would be ethical to rebate the $25 extra charge. At this point I am considering contacting the Better Business Bureau to report that Zerorez didn't hold up to their original contract.
Thank you for your feedback! As we discussed over the phone, it is very hard to give a 100% accurate quote when we can't see the areas to be cleaned. We do ask questions, and will quote on what we are told. We are explicit in the fact that the phone quote is sight unseen, and will require verification by the technician. We are working on ways to improve our ability to quote via training and technology. And, as we discussed, it may seem silly to only clean half a room, some of our customers do want that, in order to work the cleaning into their budget. We strive to serve you as the customer, and to tailor make your cleaning as much as we can. Most of the time we are pretty accurate in our quoting, but occasionally mis-communications happen and we have to improvise- either by trimming the cleaning down or by increasing the budget.

The service technician was friendly and the cleaning really improved the look of my carpets.
Prices were outrageous. After 24 hours my carpet is still wet.
We like the fact the chemicals are not used to clean our carpets which allows them to say cleaner a lot longer.
Zerorez was very easy to work with. I was unable to be at the location at the time of service, and the technician was great communicating with me before and after the job. The reassurance that the center was secured after he was done put my concerns at ease. They done a fantastic job on the carpets as well as communicating, which earns my repeat business.
