I've had your company put in two furnace and air conditioning units over the almost 30 years that I have been a customer. Products are reliable, service technicians are curteous and know what they are doing. Repair service was prompt (2 hour wait in the middle of a snow storm) on the very rare occasion that I needed service. And I like that for a minimal monthly fee I have peace of mind with your service agreement.

The service person called to tune up our octopus furnace spent all of 15 minutes w/us. He told us the door on the furnace was defective and as such he could not perform any work for us. The good thing he relayed was that the normal $200 charge for his services would be reduced to $99. He recommended that due to the age of the furnace and lack of parts available our only choice was to replace the furnace and do it soon before the heating season began. I wrote him a check and he left. Subsequently, I sought a second opinion. Center Point Energy came out, looked at the furnace, made a few minor repairs, and charged me another $99 for a service call. The repair person said our furnace would last a number of years more and that parts were available to fix anything that might go wrong w/the furnace if something goes wrong with it. He recommended that we have it serviced every 2 or 3 years. Of course, his recommendation was that eventually we should consider replacing the furnace, but he said if we were satisfied w/the furnace and the considerable space it occupies, we could leave things as is. My $99 spent to listen to the Standard Heating repairment was a total waste. I would like a refund. Name removed, 3333 Park Ave So MPLS MN 55407. I would be happy to see a check from Standard Heating refunding the cost of no service and bad advice I received last week.

The technician was friendly, he answered all my questions, he was careful with my carpets and hopefully he did a very good job, (I do not know nothing about those things)
Almost all phone contacts offer immediate response; field techs are conversant about my equipment and/or obtain tech support from other techs who are. The only misstep was customer support verifying the Payne Ave office kept my VenmarSolo Paper Final Filter in stock. I'll know better next filter order because the Venmar Pleated Filter #03316 must be special ordered. That's not a big problem for me; I can return to the Payne office easily another day to pickup that part of my filter order.
Is it possible to have a shorter appointment window? (2 hours perhaps)

the technician took the parts apart to see the whole inside of the furnace to check for problems that another company had told me I had. He then tested the furnace to make sure it was safe to use until we can hopefully buy a new one. He called the company and set up an appt for us. Awesome Tech very knowledgeable. thanks to Paul!
