I felt totally rushed. Surgery started late, not a big deal but post op and recovery went LIGHTNING SPEED. As soon as I was awake I was taken to recovery and then as soon as I got there I was given discharge papers and helped to the restroom. I was not awake nor stable. I was not told anything about my incision other than that I “only have 1” (I was expecting 3). EXCEPT I HAVE 2. Imagine my surprise. Talked to the hospital and they have no record of the second incision but after I described it, they said I have 2. Wow. I don’t even know how to care for my incisions. Is it glue? Stitches? Can I take a bath? I wasn’t told I could/couldn’t have nail polish or to not shave—apparently those are “things” oh and no one weighed me. They asked me my weight. It feels wrong to use someone’s word for their weight when using it to calculate medications and anesthesia. What if I was wrong!? What is going on here???

I live in Josephine and BW&S in Frisco was really inconvenient for me. I was told that was where Dr. Hood did his SCS surgery.
I have been to the ER twice and didn’t have to wait at all. Except for my most recent interaction with the ER physician, I have had great experiences.
When I went in for a blood clot on 9/3/23, the doctor was not friendly or reassuring at all.
Other than that, I would recommend this facility.
