Early last Saturday day I went to a bike shop in Long Beach hoping to buy a bike. Sadly I received horrible service and the guy who helped me just told me we had no bike in my size and he said that they would get some but didn't know when. Feeling rejected and discouraged I remembered that 15 years ago I had bought a bike at Helen's Cycle for the aids ride, (which has since been stolen) and I remember that there were really helpful and friendly. I then decided to make the 40 min journey north in heavy traffic to Helen's in Manhattan Beach. Before I left I made a call. On the other end of the line was a friendly voice who checked the inventory and ensured that he had a selection of Hybrid Bikes in my size. Once I arrived I was greeted with smile by a friendly sale person who should me the bikes, told me all about the features and encouraged me to take them out for a spin. Needless to say, I left Helen's that day with an awesome bike and a renewed belief that good customer service still exists. Helen's Cycles have me business for life.
