Big Bear Bikes has a fantastic range of bikes, both manual and electric, Their sales and service staff are very attentive and understand their products well. I was deal with by Alistair who gave me the time to try out a number of electric bikes and explained about them in great detail. He was not pushy and at no time did I feel pressured to buy a bike. However, I did and am delighted with my choice.

Very friendly and helpful business. A test ride was arranged while I waited and then, after purchasing a bike, it was prepped and ready for collection in a couple of hours. After riding home I found I had a faulty inner tube (it had split along a seam, so nothing the bike shop could have done) and a replacement tube was supplied FOC without query.
The shop also has a great selection bike accessories.

The bikes we bought (Trek Powerfly 5 and Trek Allant 7+) are fantastic and exactly what we wanted. The guidance offered by Alistair was excellent.
After a bit of a dip the bike servicing is now very good indeed. The shop is always friendly. The pricing is reasonable and unlike some other repair shops I trust them to do only what’s necessary and not charge for parts which are not needed. I would certainly recommend them for both new bike and for servicing. They have a good array of bike equipment. I would like to by a bike camera but they don’t stock them at present.
