You are the kindest and most helpful bike people, THANK YOU!
I just bought my bike at Bicycle Habitat and the service was terrific. I also can get my gears and brakes adjusted should I need it. i would recommend this store to anyone.

Great service. Thanks very much. Will be back.
Alex.
My shopping experience was the platonic ideal of a neighborhood bike store. People were friendly, helpful, approachable, efficient, and pleasant. For those of us who are self-loathing, there’s something emotionally satisfying about looking at racing frames at R&A and enduring the withering scorn of the salespeople there, but in this case — where I simply wanted to buy a bicycle for my 10-year-old son — bicycle habitat was utterly perfect.
I have been a bicycle habitat customer for years, and have normally been really pleased with the quality of products and service. One reason I've purchased bikes for myself and daughter at BH is that your company offers free brake and gear checks. Yesterday I came in for such a check. About three minutes after my bike was taken in, a worker came out and told me I needed to pay a $45 "quick check-up" fee, even though all I asked for was to have my brakes and gears looked at. I was told the worker saw something that required additional work, making the $45 fee necessary, and that it would take about 20 minutes to service my bike. At that time, I indicated I needed a new water-bottle holder, and was invited into the store to see the items on sale. When I entered the store, my bike was not being serviced, and I assumed I was next on line. I quickly browsed and agreed to purchase a water bottle holder and headband, and then asked if I should wait outside while my bike was being serviced. The worker said they were already done -- that they had tended to my bike during the three minutes I was initially waiting outside. There is absolutely no way that BH did anything other than a quick break check, yet I was nickel-and-dimed for $45 on the premise that some more invasive checkup was done. I'm really upset that I was charged $45 for 3 minutes of work -- which was supposed to be free under the BH offering. There is a very good chance I've bought my last bike from BH, but would welcome the opportunity to speak with a manager.
1. The location is close to where I live.
2. At other bike shops, I've had experiences where the person is man-splaining bikes and makes me feel unowrthy of good service. Fortunately I did not have this experience at Bicycle Haibtat and I plan on coming back for future questions about my bike.
Great service. Was quick and easy to buy a bike. Very friendly.
Great customer service…came in for a helmet, left with a helmet. 🎉
Very competent staff! Will definitely return!
Customer service to help all type/ knowledge level of bikers. No arrogance at Bicycle Habitat!
Your error was a matter principle no matter if the cost was $5 or $500. I came with a specific problem, the pedal threads in the left crank arm were stripped and I need a replacement arm. I was open to the recommendations of your staff, but the problem quickly escalated:
-There was no replacement arm in stock
-There was a left and right crank set available but not an exact duplicate
-After installing the replacement crank, and new crank axle assembly had to be purchased to correct the front deraileur spacing.
-I was told that the chain and rear sprocket set were worn and should be changed so the chain and clusters would be new and match. The estimate was around $400 before I asked the mechanic to stop.
Never did anyone say “we can order the one piece you need, It should arrive in X number of days at roughly this cost”
When I told them to just finish the work they had started, I was told someone would call me the next day when the bike was ready. I left my contact info but no one contacted me.
When I finally got the store manager on the phone, I explained that what they were doing was a classic bait and switch. He went into a blame-the-victim mode saying the shop replaces clusters and chains all the time, as if I was shirking maintenance. He couldn’t understand that the crossed thread issue for the pedal was separate from all the other work that they were proposing.
At that point I knew no one was listening, I paid the $103 to get my bike back, and started looking for another shop to maintain my bike.
Excellent customer service!
everyone is nice, you explain everything in detail, and you have a lot of good stuff
Friendly. Knowledgeable. Courteous.
I’m really happy w the work on my bike - thanks!
Personalized service and professionalism at its best.
Everyone at Bicycle Habitat is literally amazing, I have only ever had great experiences here! They have a fantastic selection of really quality bikes and accessories and will help you find whatever you need! They're never condescending if you don't understand something about your bike, unlike other shops in Brooklyn. All in all fantastic, I recommend them to everyone!
I took my bicycle in for a 1k mile tuneup. The mechanic clearly explained what was needed and turned it around quickly. The guy who handed the bicycle over to me when I picked it up sold me some chain lube and was also clear in his advice.
I look forward to working with you in the future.
This is my fav bike store. Great quick service. Looking forward to when biz can move inside.
Convenient location, super friendly and helpful staff. And the bikes are awesome: the kids love 'em.
The staff is friendly, competent, and honest. They seem to move between very different kinds of cyclist with ease, treating everyone with respect.
In the middle of the week, they were able adjust my bike right away.
Bicycle Habitat and Justine in particular hung in with my order during this time in which it's really hard to get bikes. I felt like I had a friend on the other end of the line when I called and eventually I got my stunning new bike thanks to BH & Justine. Yay.
The service was speedy and nice!
The service is too slow and the ordering system is a mess.
High quality product, sales staff are very professional and knowledgeable.
I went in for an axel repair and was quoted a $210 entire wheel replacement. I went to another shop and the work done for $30.
Great service!
Just great people working there.
Great staff! Super knowledgeable and kind. Lots of great advice and info. Helped me making a lot of decisions for my bike.

Fantastic service! I went in for a slow leak in my back rear tire and I left with a pair of cycling shoes ! Thank you! I was in and out in less than 15 minutes.
