Not much
The facility needs a face lift. Just seems run down. Would love to see the turf install with upgrades.
Add seated elliptical machines, at least one. These have paddle feet like regular elliptical machines and moving arms like elliptical. Great for those with arthritis or recovering from surgery, etc.
Need additional weight machine handles -- like the red ones currently there or the padded black ones...need to be flexible and smaller. They often move to the other weight lifting area, no reason each area can't have their own.
Trainers often leave weights or workout items in their private training area, leaving those of us who work out in the regular gym without. Either provide the trainers with a set of items to use in the private training room or have them return items to the regular gym area.
Weight balls -- there are 3 6-pound balls, 1 8-pound ball, 1 10-pound ball....the 8-pound ball is often missing...guessing it is in private training room. Maybe an extra 8-pound weight ball.
Everything. Very clean
Replace old or broken equipment. Maintain facility routinely.
Free weight area needs to be rearranged. 1 of the incline benches has been out of service for months. Members frequently drop weights/dumbbells and set them on benches creating wear. Would be nice if staff would monitor this so other members don’t have to worry about damaged equipment due to irresponsible members.
Everything...great locker rooms and plenty of equipment
Indoor pool
You refuse to repair the elliptical machines on the West side. Broken for literally years.
Equipment is falling apart. Bathrooms are dirty. No cleaning supplies for the machines like before like when it use to be one life. There’s no actual app like one life had, so it’s hard to sign up for classes. We’ll ever since it became genesis it’s been trash. And I just haven’t had time to go cancel my membership in person.
I have sent several emails and spoke to managers already, so you should have the info you need. Asking me why is part of the problem you have, you should already know.
Opens at 5:00 AM. Close to where I live.
Repair parking lot and concrete walks.
Everything looks good to me, some stationary bikes need maintenance, shower room could be cleaner.
Take a look at the equipment. Everything is falling apart, every bench is ripped, peck deck, leg curl, leg extension, and there isn't one treadmill in the building that doesn't sound like it's falling apart. The seated leg curl is missing the metal bar that goes over the top of your legs. There is zero maintenance done on the equipment even though most of us pay an equipment fee. The only good thing about this gym is that it's conveniently located.
CrossFit. Other gym equipment is meh. Looks like the same stuff is there from when I belonged here 16 years ago. Place needs a facelift
It's large with lots of variety.
It is a nice facility with good equipment.
all of the staff are super nice and everything is clean
Great classes!!
There is only one working/useful shower in the men's locker room. Previously this summer for over 2 months some of the showers ran constantly with hot water. There was mold all over the ceiling as a result. It appears an attempt was made to fix them but that just resulted in them not working at all. One working shower out of twelve is not acceptable. The hot tub in the men's shower is just plain gross and broken frequently. May as well remove it or turn off permanently. It's costing resources to maintain, money that could go towards fixing needed showers. Just as disappointing is the lack of communication on the matter. No signage explaining or apologizing for the inconvenience or plans to remedy the shower situation. The lap pool is frequently cloudy.
In general the facility is not well maintained. I've been coming to 132nd for about 15 years and it's in as poor condition as I've ever seen. I'm paying premium rates for a run down gym. To make it right, lower my dues by 25% and put some effort into making things (showers) functional.
Put towels in the locker rooms. Why are they only at the front desk?
I love the classes but the construction progress (or lack of it) is EXTREMELY frustrating.
The locker rooms have been closed since May of 2020, with no updates as to when they will open. That should have been the main focus of construction but instead demolition seemed to be the ficus with areas blocked off and no work being done. The existing locker room is hot, moldy, with old and constantly broken toilets and sinks! It is ridiculous to think the entire membership of the gym is supposed to use this disgusting area! The progress and management of construction is very unmanaged and unprofessional. Hire a reputable company to get the work done! When will it end?
There seems to be no workers with company logos or business trucks around, but a few random workers. The work areas are left with trash, empty bottles, and left unfinished for months at a time.
We are all loyal, paying members of this gym and deserve better! If workerd come in, they should complete the space and remove all trash and construction materials.
In addition, there should be something done about the emergency exits that are taped up and wired shut! What would the fire inspector say if a fire were to occur?
When are the windows getting installed? Plastic over the front and back of the building going on 6 months now! Can't work that was started be completed? Think about the aesthetics for members. Can't the hallway and areas outside the daycare and studio 1 be completed?
I could go on and on of the issues of how this remodel has been managed!
The gym is clean, equipment is well maintained. Friendly staff that work there. Good classes
I have not been able to shower there since April. The construction going on there is obviously not well planned or executed. It is pathetic that a 1 month job has taken 6 months and is still not done. I would also bet my last buck that none of the TVs work on the exercise bikes upstairs.
Finish the locker room and make the TVs work on the exercise bikes upstairs.
It has all the devices and space I want and not packed with people.
I am disappointed that the majority of lockers are not available for use. The ratio of men in the gym vs available lockers indicates many lockers are permanently occupied.
I love the swimming pool at Ward Pkwy. I love the water aerobics I attend on Saturdays !!
Friendly staff, always their to help you! Warm and cozy work out area! Love the location of facility, in a beautiful part of Omaha especially at Christmas!!
It seems like a monthly occurrence that the person that opens doesn’t make it on time. TV on mens locker room only gets antenna channels. Equipment takes long time to fix. Still a good gym.
Space cardio equipment further apart
