Hire a plumber and fix all the showers in both locker rooms. There are only 1-2 functional ones in the men's locker room, and my wife says about half of the women's ones are broken. This is a disgrace. Your employees are nice and many of them are extremely hard-working, but this should not be their responsibility. This is not a recent state of affairs, either.
Everything is running very well thanks to Clement
It’s close to home and able to get around.
Genesis Management at Ft Collins Prosect location ignores customer valid requests for ADA accomodatons. For 3 years since renovation started I have aked/begged with management to install a locker hasp that can use a keyed padlock instead of existing built-in combo lock. I am blind and can not use a visual lock and and after multiple promises and face-toface conversations nothing has been done, just more unkept promises to install one. It takes 15 minutes for maintenance to install and it is a valid ADA accomadation request. Because I can not lock my things, they have been rifled through by potential thieves which still fell on deaf ears. Instead of 5 minutes to put in a work order and 15 minutes to install more value is put on trying to get new members vs. taking care of existing. All I ask is for an honest answer that the little things don’t matter to management
I like Katy English, your personal trainer. She is very kind, helpful and encouraging.
Hot tub is still not working at Fort Collins club. The locker room at south is disgusting always
Love the power lifting platforms. Very clean.
Condition of swimming pool is poor based on last time there. Paint got on swimming suit but no response from club when complained.
Less expensive
Keep sauna operational, ensure hot tub is more than just warm, repair shower faucets (some work, some don’t-none work like they should)
I think Genesis Health Club is the Best around! Genisis is always looking for better ways to help support the heath of their members. New updated equipment, new and different classes and much more. Genesis upgrades to provide the best of everything. The Club is so clean! That is something I do look for and is quite important. The staff gets to know you and you are welcomed by name when you go through the front door. I love the pool! The temperature is just perfect and I can swim laps or to aqua exercises. in comfor. Additionally, the Genesis Club where I am a member, has the best manager! Chas is the best manager I have ever seen in my years at the Club. He simply ensures everything is right. Chas is an encourager for the members and cheers them on. Those are the marks of an excellent manager in my eyes.
Great club, friendly staff.
The management team is very upbeat and attentive to member needs.
Group x classes and instructors are excellent
The facility isn’t clean. The sauna has mold in it and it’s not a clean space. It’s visible dirt and trash in the sauna, it’s quite disgusting. Most of the machines are ripped up, broken or the treadmills make this horrible noise when using. The ceiling leaks, and it’s been reports by a number of people so solutions seems to be bucks on a gym that people are paying good money for. I could see if this was a barn where we were paying $10, but it’s not. This place has been one big issue after the other
Most of my friends go to Papillion Landing, it is a newer facility, it is so much cleaner, the equipment is in such better shape than Genesis. And they also always have towels available.
For example: The Group X room at Genesis needs new mats. The majority of them have lost their cushion and are coming apart on the edges.
The ceiling vents in the Group X room look like they have black mold growing in them, or they are just very dirty.
Part of the ceiling in the closet fell down years ago, and has never been fixed.
Speaking of the ceiling, the majority of the ceiling tiles are water stained, although most of them have had something sprayed on them to help hide the water stains.
I know Janene mops the Group X floor, but it needs to be cleaned regularly with a buffing machine by maintenance people to get rid of all the marks, grime, etc. The floor also needs to be cleaned under the weight racks.
Sometimes the gliders won't slide on the floor because the floor is so dirty, or because the gliders have gotten dirt embedded in them.
There is a huge pothole going out of the parking lot toward Centennial. It will only get worse this winter, and damage cars.
Because of these reasons, I hesitate to refer my friends, even though I love the Group X instructors.
Spacious, lots of equipment, clean locker room, great staff, overall great facility
Your lack of senior pricing deters me from adding members.
It’s new and clean! Nice friendly staff!
Locker rooms need upgrading.
Genesis gyms have the best selection of equipment! Vast schedule of classes! Trainer are knowledgeable and friendly! Gyms are always clean and bright with fresh air!
Not maintaining facilities at midtown location. Few perks to retain current, long-standing members.
Plenty of options for every kind of workout: classes, free weights, swimming, cycling, and more. Sometimes I think the kids club has been understaffed making me hesitant to take my infant there, but I love everything else about the gym.
It really needs to be maintained in a better way. It’s often not as clean as other locations. In addition there are time it looks cluttered. Finally, maintaining the locker rooms is slow and shows etc are often not fixed quickly.
1. Consistency in pool-sometimes heater is on, sometimes it is off sometimes you have clear water and sometimes you don't, sometimes it is overflowing.
2. Cleanliness of Locker Rooms-Each morning or night, the lockers should be cleaned. I use the same locker everyday (or try to) and I left a shoe footprint in there instead of wiping it away and that same print was there for over 6 weeks. 1.5 weeks ago, there was a paper towel in the locker and I left it there just to see and it has not been moved which tells me that lockers are not being cleaned out. I do not shower at this location b/c if the lockers are this way I am scared to see what the showers are.
3. Getting my Bill right. It is messed up and has been messed up. Witchita called me and I explained the error and they wanted me to get with the club and I said I have tried for over 8 wks to get resolved and it hasn't so you need to. It took them a few wks to get back to me and left a vmail and I called back and left a vmail and that was last week and still haven't heard anything.
4. Machinery-some are missing screws. Before you get on an elyptical you need to shake it to make sure it is steady and not missing screws. I would think this would be checked at least monthly and signs put up.
5. I would give a lower rating if it was not for the staff that I interact with daily and the friends that I made via fellow work outers. Glen at front desk always has a smile and asks how I am doing and says good-bye as I leave and knows my name. Garett is my trainer and is friendly and listens to me on my goals and different things, I don't work with Brett, but he knows me and says hi to me by name every time he sees me; he also stayed on me to get back to my training sessions, Susan is one of the water aerobics instructors and is amazing. She switches things up, asks what we like/don't like keeps us informed of instructor changes and different things. There are several other water aerobics instructors that are great too, but I don't know by name...the guy that teaches on Sat mornings that I think use to be a coach...love going to his class when I can on wknds, the lady that teaches at Millard North (I think); she also rows...she is a favorite, but don't get to her classes much due to when she teaches.
You need a squat rack with adjustable catches. SW genesis squat rack and Deadlift platforms are always being used.
Large and spacious
It would be nice to have the exercise machines all in working order. To many of the are in need of repair.
The classes/instructors
The bathrooms at 84th and Q look like they haven't been cleaned since construction ended. It looks like there is still grout on the floor and the stainless steel stall dividers are filthy. Also, last time I was there, there were still no shower curtains. Is that what a "platinum" level gym delivers? No shower curtains and dirty bathrooms?
Easily accessible to me
