It seems that the corporate headquarters is very interested in purchasing more clubs around the country, but does not take care of the clubs it already owns. There are important things to repair and they're not getting done due to lack of funding. Therefore, I cannot in good conscience highly recommend Genesis clubs.
Fix the equipment in a timely manner, there’s a seated leg curl machine that been broke for several months!!
The cardio equipment is in terrible shape
👍
Tennis
Dry sauna
It is A O K , clean an. All things Work
Great club!!
choices of classes at multiple locations & great personal trainers
I like the track, the exercise equipment, the windows, the lounge area, the locker rooms, the pools, and the friendly knowledgeable staff.
The leaks in the roof need to be fixed. Having buckets to catch leaks and caution tape up around areas is ridiculous. It should be embarrassing to Genesis as a club for the leaks to continue to be an issue. I would also like to see the burnt out light bulbs replaced in the bubble. It is difficult to see in there and can be dangerous as you could be hit by a ball.
It would be nice if money was spent improving the locker rooms. I don’t need fancy but simple updates would go a long ways. There is usually a sewer order in the one womens locker room. Whatever the issue, it should be fixed.
Do more people need to leave genesis for simple improvements to be made?
Fix your plumbing problems & get some towels
Half the spa jets haven't been working which historically is quickly resolved by flipping the electrical breaker in the mechanical room. I suggested this to the front desk personnel. There were no towels at all in the men's shower area or by the sinks. I had to walk to locker area and I almost slipped. The swimsuit spinner has been out of order for too long. Some of the shower heads are really hard to turn off; they often drip which is a waster of water. The mats in the shower area are too spread out with gaps which increases the risk of a slip/fall.
The free classes! Especially boot camp!
The maintenance and condition of the gym are continual issues. Example, half the hot tub jets have not worked for a month. The swim suit spinner/dryer has been out for some time. Broken shower heads and lights in the men's shower area. Towels not being available. The gym is not clean and seems to be getting worse. Towards the end of last summer the pool was so filthy I wouldn't get in it. And I grew up swimming in lakes and ponds. It was bad. Treadmill belts need replacing, stationary cycle seats are worn out, the roof leaks. So why am I here? My partner likes the classes, but we have started looking at other options.
What can you do? Simple, fix it. The gym doesn't need a remodel. It needs repair and cleaning. If you want to paint a few rooms then great. Don't break what isn't broken. The layout works, the hot tub area is fine when working. You may have some higher priced boiler, filter system issues, air handling that need attention. So, fix them. The men's showers could use an update. My biggest concern is a remodel will close the gym forcing us to use the old Fort Collins club. By most accounts the remodel there was a fail. The hot tub doesn't work well etc. Understanding the timing was bad with Covid, but don't screw up Miramount South or you will be looking for buyers in FOCO. The name means something in this market and people will expect a club type feel.
Sorry to be so direct.
Fix the giant pothole by the dumpster and some the equipment that is falling apart. Also, the guy who opens on Sundays has not shown up on time the last few Sundays I've been there.
Classes and Instructors are the BEST!!
The Genesis health club has everything a member would want! Your staff is excellent as well. I would recommend you wholeheartedly!
Marcus is a joke. Worst manager ever. No employee or member think he’s a reputable business man and he gives genesis a terrible reputation. And of course the facilities are a health hazard. Not sure how the city hasn’t shut it down
Gym is dirtier than any gym I’ve been to. No one wipes down equipment after use, no club employees clean the area(s), and 1/2 the cleaning equipment for self use is broken.
Additionally, pricing is ridiculous and the “premiere” gyms are a joke. I used to use one daily, and now I’m not allowed to use it after it has been renovated.
The area around the indoor pool needs lots of help. Th water equipment gets wet and then gets moldy which is not acceptable.
The women's showerroom/restroom has a mirror that is absolutely a disgrace. One of the faucets in the sink area has very low water pressure.
This is a building that has been in use for many years. However, you knew that when you purchased it and everything has to be maintained accordingly.
clean the club/bathrooms pick up equipment/towels that members leave laying around
I’ve seen a lot of people get injured in the last few weeks and I’m concerned about the maintenance of the equipment and current faulty equipment that hasn’t been tagged or discontinued
all my previous times i've provided feedback are all still valid.
lower fees for seniors
The disappointments in the club continue to build. First, when I changed to a single person membership, even though I was told I would keep all of my guest passes, when I went to bring a pass, I was told I had none. Membership fees are those of a premium club, but the tennis courts are in disrepair and embarrassing for matches with other clubs, the club itself is often dirty and things like towels are not available. I'm looking at other options. The focus away from quality has been obvious since Genesis bought the club.
Outdoor pool
Always friendly
Keep the machines repaired.
Open spaces, high ceilings. Swimming pool. Up-to-date machines (the new ones). But best of all is my private trainer, Derek. Very professional, thoughtful of my needs as an older woman.
