Professionalism of the two nurses who helped me during my wife’s medical issues.

The reason we give a 10 is for the nurse that services us every week. Joddie is very knowledgeable and with this knowledge, explains many medical things with us. She really is a wealth of information and that makes us feel more confident in her approach to our questions. She also has a good sense of humour which takes away some of the stuffiness that some nurses have with their patients. So, we give Joddie a 10; but, cannot give a score for other "nurses next door".

Difficult to get used to 24 hour service - cost, difficult shift change time means being awakened, workers not always emotionally supportive, workers do not know how to make Canadian food, very tiring to keep explaining things. My long term worker Cindy is not in this category at all, makes me feel safe when i know she will be here. She also anticipates my needs, seems like she reads my mind sometimes.Other workers have some positive things to offer as well. I feel so vulnerable that I am reluctant to complain.

The changing of staff sent to visit is unfortunately causing my Mom ( 90yrs) anxiety as she cannot remember & remain relaxed.
She worries care methods may vary out of her standards. The schedule changes worry her as she anticipates the visits to fit with her resting.
Would prefer earlier morning visits .
No 10am and no 10pm visits if possible please.

The care aid I have is very quick and efficient. She is also very caring and interested in how I’m doing.

The caregivers are great.

There was such a difference in the quality of the care givers. Most were excellent but one at least was not capable of doing the job. If I were raring the best it would be a 10 and the weak one would get a two.

Service is dependable, and appreciated

Great service from my long term caregiver Cindy as well as when I phone in. Still finding I have to explain what I want in detail as caregivers are from different cultures so don't know how to make things like tea (the British way) and grilled cheese, how to warm up things in a can.
Very caring and patient when I have difficulty.

Good but not able to schedule earlier morning visits .
Also late visit at 10pm is late.
9pm or 8pm visit for us is better

Friendliness of the nurse and she is very knowledgeable about dialysis and transplants,having done both herself. The consistency of showing up has greatly improved.

Most of the care workers have been very good.

The willingness to provide the best customers service especially in the time needed. Really appreciate this service.

We were impressed by nurse Joddie's knowledge of the kidney dialysis program as well, of course, as to programming the cycler. We were pleased with Joddie's personality as it blended very well with our personalities and made us feel relaxed. Thank you.

Friendly & efficient

Found me last minute coverage in emergency. Listen to what I am looking for in caregiver and tries to match.
Long term worker Cindy very skilled and supportive, so I always feel better when I know she is coming.

Care aides are good, but often very rushed. Scheduling is inconsistent and not always responsive to client needs.

They are nice people and they know what they are doing
