Be more welcoming/friendly
I like everything about this YMCA. Group classes are great and the instructors make the classes fun. Building is kept very well maintained and very clean. Staff are wonderful. Always professional.
Friendly people who are helpful- very clean facility and a lot of exercise equipment and hardly ever a wait for a machine or any weights or bikes or treadmills
My kids love the camp. It's a little pricey. I'd more likely recommend it if was affordable for the average family who absolutely need child care when school is not in session.
The staff is courteous and professional, and the facility is family friendly.
I was working with my son during open swim to improve his stroke (giving him some pointers) and was told I couldn’t do so as they don’t allow personal trainers. I am not a personal trainer and was only helping my son. I explained that, but was told I couldn’t help him.
After that poor experience, I cancelled my membership.
Welcoming, clean and variety of activities for members.
Everybody is so nice and helpful!
The Fairfield YMCA is run with a lot of care for its members and the facility itself. It is bright, clean and welcoming. My only issue, which has been ongoing, is that folks who wish to exercise in the pool are welcomed during scheduled lap swim times. The pool is small. It means that those of us lap swimming, albeit at a slower speed than the other lanes, are not given the same consideration. When I wake up at 4:30am to lap swim, it is disappointing when there are two of us lap swimming in the slow lane and someone wishing to rehab an injury or simply walk around in the water comes in choosing not to do so during open swim. At times there are can be more than one person who is not a lap swimmer. This also happens during other scheduled lap swim times as well. That would be my only complaint. Other than that I think the Y is wonderful.
Get the kids off their cell phones while on the workout machines. Not only do they sit for a long time hogging the machine, who knows what they are filming??
Always clean, reliable and professional.
great classes
The pool fit classes are enjoyable.
when I joined I was very nervous about going there. I was afraid that it was going to be like some of those gyms that have these great big muscular type people that can p/u big time weights and they see you come in and they start thinking ( this guy can't do this and they make fun of you) But the Y is nothing like that at all. If you're in the pool - everyone just comes and does what they came in and that is to relax in the pool - no matter what it is they just do whatever and leave you to do whatever it is you want to do. The people in the gym part just do what they want to do and they are very nice and don't bother anyone. I also found that if you need help they are right there to help you. . they are all very friendly . Also I found all the workers to be very nice also and help you in any way they can.
Nothing the building is not big enough
I like the friendly staff, cleanliness and schedule the have for pool time.
Great facility, especially the pool . Knowledgeable instructors . Good management.
Better AC in the workout room & parking lot is a complete nightmare.
Great facilities and great people and staff
Well organized camp, the counselor's really take the time to get to know the kids. The kids go swimming, to the beach, on fun trips. Each week has a theme and the counselors go out of their way to make it fun and engaging.
The outdoor pools are awesome.
The lifeguards are also awesome.
Definitely recommend.
It's my main place for social interactions as well as staying fit.
Proximity and cleanliness
My sons had a great time!
My kids, ages 3 and 5, had an amazing experience at Camp Teepee. This was our second year, and we hope to be back again!
The counselors are wonderful and made both kids feel welcome right away. Even simple things, like greeting them by name every morning, made such a difference. You can really feel the warmth of the camp and how much the staff care about creating a positive experience for the kids.
We also love that Camp Teepee engages youth counselors. My kids adored getting to know the “big kids” and developing those relationships over the summer. It’s such a special part of the program.
I think the heads of the summer camp work very hard to make each week/theme special. I can also tell they really enjoy my child. I like that every counselor, even those in a different age group than my son, says hello and goodbye to him by name. I like that they go swimming twice a week. My son is very happy and enthusiastic to go to camp every day! This is for the preschool camp.
Good value. Swim lessons and yoga classes are great. Fitness center is spacious and complete. Also my 11 and 13 year old are able to use the facilities.
Friendly

Very good exercise facilities and pools
