Great nurses and support team

I loved that the nursery staff took my baby and allowed me to get a few hours of sleep both nights.

Employees were nice. There was not a lot of delays. Surgery was ahead of schedule.

All of the staff from labor and delivery, to nursery, to postpartum were absolutely amazing. They were attentive, caring, and answered any and all questions. It was my first experience with this hospital, and would definitely recommend.

Professional and curitious

Registration staff was unfriendly and left a poor first impression during the phone all prior to admission. Checking in continued to disappoint with an unfriendly welcoming and took about 45 mins to check us in.

Nursing staff failed to do a proper assessment. During my 24 hour stay no one ever auscultated my heart or lungs. DTRS were never assessed nor were questions asked about preeclampsia. Only one nurse assessed for edema (it was pitting upon admission). Are fundal massages only q12 during the first 24 hours?

Did not have to wait long to see a doctor.

Staff - from the front door to the OR were kind, courteous and helpful.

The nurses and technicians were great, empathic and kind.

The emergency doctor was efficient, but not so much empathetic, he must have been very busy as he was in a hurry to get out; I understand emergencies are like that ...

...yet, it also seemed to me he didn't take me seriously, and acted as if I was a junkie trying to get meds.
I went in for migraine, but since I avoid doctors ¢ much as possible, I also told him complains of issues I've been dragging for months, like my injured elbow that continued to hurt after an accident.

Seemed to me he assumed I was exaggerating and I had "nothing" and was "normal", yes test agreed for the most part that my head seemed "normal" and his attitude was like "I told you so" (but...most...not all was normal)...I had elevated mpv ...which was exactly my concern as I have a mutation that makes me prone to blood clotting. And perhaps my elbow's bone wasn't broken, but I could have had an infection not shown in the X-ray or a blood clot.
The last place I ever want to be is a hospital (I have doctor anxiety, generalized anxiety, social anxiety...etc), and only go when I feel like I'm dying (I had the worst migraine ever..), and at the request of the doctors who have prescribed meds that could potentially have deadly side effects (thus even the meds advice to seek help asp), I had a bilateral embolism before ..and didn't want to risk getting a stroke, all I wanted was reassurance that I wasn't going to get one, I didn't even care if they made the pain go away, I'm used to hurting 24/7 already, and avoid taking meds as I tend to get side effects, I usually take the minimum required.

I suppose the emergencies functioned as they should, I was out of there soon enough, reassured I wasn't dying, though still very much in pain...which wasn't better until today.

My only suggestion, try to find out the whole picture (and not judge), and believe the patient, even if they aren't bleeding all over the room.

This is our third baby to have at Baylor Frisco and we would never go anywhere else! Always a 5 star experience. Your nurses and staff make the experience amazing. Lisa in labor and delivery was amazing. She made an extra effort to come say hello to us the next day and see how we were doing. Tami in postpartum was incredible as well. So friendly and sweet and made our stay so welcoming. Food was great. Food delivery servers were great.

I live in Dallas but drove myself to Frisco bc I heard how fast the ER is there. The staff was so calm and nice and patient even though I was crying from the pain, and they checked on me often. The doctor was thorough and went over my options with me. And the total ER visit took 2 hours which is lightning speed for an ER.
