Great selection with knowledgeable staff
This was my first time at this Helen's location. The staff was super responsive, very fast, extremely helpful, and friendly. I bought my bike from you guys about 6 years ago, and then moved away. I've had it serviced all over the country, and I am so happy to be back in LA. You guys are hands down the best.
This place was amazing. Everyone was helpful and supportive. I got a great bike and helmet and have ridden twice since buy my bike two days ago.
They put on my lock mount, taught me how to lock my bike to prevent stealing, helped me load it into my car and showed me how to remove the front tire. Basically, everything I needed to know about getting a bike and using it in LA.

Best bike store in Los Angeles County!! I travel 35 miles from Glendale to go to Helen's in Santa Monica because of the amazing service and products they offer. Jay, the owner is wonderful and has an awesome crew working for him! Wilbur, Eric, Michael, and Adam to just name a few are always willing to assist, have a deep knowledge of all bikes and if they don't know something, they will follow through to get an answer for you. Been going to Helen's since 2002 and won't go anywhere else now. As a Triathlon Coach, bikes are an important part of my business. I send all my clients to Helen's because I know they will be well taken care of.

I went to Helen’s for help re-assembling my e-bike after I had some issues fixing a flat tire. They gave me a super fair price compared to one of their nearby competitors and had it ready for me the next day. I had also noticed some rubbing noise coming intermittently from my disk brakes so I asked if they could adjust them. They kindly advised that if the rubbing isn’t constant (it isn’t) that adjustment won’t likely help as it is common in hydraulic disc brakes and is caused by the disc flexing as it heats up and cools down. They could have easily taken my money to do the adjustment but they were very upfront and didn’t. I really appreciate their customer service and they have definitely become my go to shop.

Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable.
The service department is the best around for taking proper care of my bicycle. It is the only place I will take my bike for service and I have to drive 20 miles to bring it in. The knowledgeable staff also makes it the only store I will purchase my bikes.

Tune-ups are waaay too expensive.
Well, I had to call to find out my bike was ready. During the call I was told that my pedals were recalled. Upon picking up my bike the old pedals were gone and I had to purchase a new set. Shouldn't a recall mean that new pedals would be put on at no charge for the pedals and labor? I was given a 15% discount. The Electric Trek I brought in for repair was purchased by myself at a Police auction, that shouldn't have made a difference on the recall. I've been bringing bikes for repair to Helen's since 1996. Not my best experience.
