I asked to have toe cages installed when I dropped the bike off, and when I replied to an email. They were never installed. I dropped the bike off to be tuned, and it still is not smoothly shifting in certain gears.
Excellent, friendly, quick service, reasonably priced.
Bicycle Habitat NEVER disappoints in the area of customer service. Working with any employee is always a satisfying experience. From the moment I arrived with my flat tire Adam was attentive. He not only explained the process and pricing, but saw that I was hindering the use of my brakes with a large bag restricting the brake wire. I liked the concern for my welfare outside of my immediate problem. In addition there were NO surprises when it was time to pay. I recommend Bicycle Habitat to anyone I know with a bike (whether they live in Brooklyn or not).
Very friendly, very fast service.
Taylor was super helpful, patient and answered all my many questions:)
Exceeded expectations.
Easy to view stock and shop, team at the store was super friendly
You guys always do the right thing for me. Much appreciated.
Knowledge team. Friendly and funny.
Except for Matt, the associates I encountered were hostile. The one tall guy with red hair and glasses seemed spoke down to me repeatedly and almost in a way like he was trying to humiliate me. He asked me questions and seemed to scoff if I didn’t have an answer. If I answered his question he would second guess me. I bought this bike from you for $5k two years ago and have barely ridden it and would expect that they would want to be helpful. I also watched him do the same thing to another customer.
Great service
Great expertise
Friendly
Always quick and pleasant. Love this place!
Best bike store in New York . One of a dying breed of bike stores that aren’t run like Walmart or are pushing electric bikes .
A big thanks is due to Justine. I first called the Chelsea store to inquire about a hard to find Specialized Roubaix. She was very knowledgeable and accommodating. After a test ride, she had the rear brake adjusted and kept the bike on reserve until I made a final decision. Great partner for the cycling community - thank you!
The technicians are careful and talented. The shop sources quality equipment.
Great team!
The gentleman at the store was very friendly and helped adjust my seat to make sure I was well set before I left. I’d only say that my brakes started squeaking within a day, and the front tyre was slight wobbly, so I’m not sure if something needs re-alignment!
Quick assessment, team was very approachable and fast! They were thorough with what the next steps were and made it a point to communicate across a few channels when the job was done.
I highly recommend this place.
I brought my bike in to be serviced after the caliper return spring on my old Dura-Ace broke. It meant my brakes were closed. I figured I'd get some other issues fixed as well, new back gears and a repair to my front derailer.
When I dropped the bike off, the person made it clear that they might not be able to find the Dura-Ace replacement and would suggest a new brake set. I understood and left feeling like my expectations were appropriately set.
When I came to pick up the bike, after being told the repairs were done, I found that the front brakes weren't repaired. The bike was essentially unrideable. The person helping me was understanding and tried to get an answer as to why it wasn't fixed.
Remarkably one of the mechanics just said, "yeah, we couldn't get the part". I left asking that someone please look at the brakes and tell me what a replacement could take.
When I got home, curious to know how hard the part was to find, I was able to locate the part on-line in minutes. Not long after I was emailed that they were able to find or fashion a replacement caliper and the brakes were fixed.
It would have been 'fine' at that point to get my bike back in working order but as icing on the cake I found that my rear light went missing during this process. By then I didn't have the energy to engage with your store any longer. I had to admit defeat.
I didn't expect to have people fawning over me and my bike but it was remarkable how there was a real breakdown in the lowest level of accountability.
Excellent repair service.
Love you guys! Always incredible service, so helpful and patient!
I brought my bike in for a tune-up after it hit the ground. A mechanic took care of it right away. He ran through the repairs he made. The price was fair. I'm glad that my bike is back in shape.
always great customer service, no matter how large or small the issue.
Tim is friendly and does great work
Amazing handling of warranty claim - thank you!
Friendly and helpful staff
Timely service
Truly expert, staffed by people who clearly love bicycles and pride themselves on their deep mechanical and product knowledge. Always great communication. Always friendly. Always rapid. Service is always done and delivered on schedule.
Friendly, knowledgable staff.

I tried adjusting my cantilever brakes for hours because they were squealing when I needed to stop. The mechanic made them perfect in less than ten minutes for only $15! Amazing.
