I brought my bike in to get some service done last week that included installing my brakes, installing & calibrating my derailur, and checking to see if my rims needed to be trued.
The rear brake was installed wrong. There are holes on the frame that the brake line was supposed to be the threaded through, and that was not done.
My derailur is not shifting properly—it is spongy and doesn’t up shift properly. Also, when I put torque down on the pedals to turn them, it slips and jumps.
My front brake seems to have some air in the line as it gives more than the back brake when trying to use it. I have to really clamp down to get it to engage.
Also, I don’t believe my rims were checked to be in true as my rear rim still has a slight bend in it that causes the rotor to push into the break pads every revolution it makes.
I would really like to bring my bike back into the shop and have these things addressed and fixed considering I spent almost $200 on this maintenance.

I recently bought a new bike, when I get home, I noticed the crank was very scuffed up.
When I picked up my bike which had tune up done over several weeks while we waited for some parts to be delivered. Once part arrived work was completed quickly. When I picked up my bike I thought maybe it would be all cleaned up. ie that it would be washed up and clean with new parts. washing bikes while annoying give so much satisfaction. I would recommend you include it as part of bike tune ups even if you charge more for the tune up.
