Overall the service was good - Mike K. was very helpful on the phone to talk me through the options and place the original order.
However, I experienced some mild frustrations after ordering, and again during collection.
After ordering:
I was never informed that the bike was ready for collection (neither my email nor phone). When I called to find out the status of the bike, it turns out that the monkey bars weren't actually in stock.
When I asked if the monkey bars would be coming into stock soon or not, there was no real answer. I ended up just picking up the bike without them. I get that the team was busy in the lead up to Christmas but this is a $4,000 purchase...
When collecting:
The bike wasn't fully working when I collected, and clearly had never been turned on nor taken for a test ride. The electronics hadn't been connected properly so needed a technician to fix.
Also, the headlight had been connected the wrong way around so had to be fixed while I waited. Again, small things, but surprising that the bike wasn't tested or even turned on before I collected?! Feels like a basic item on the assembly checklist.
There was a small (but very visible) nick in the paint on the rear of the bike. Mike touched it up with the touch-up paint, which is fine, but it felt like something that should have been attended to pre-collection.
Finally, when I collected there was no attempt made to set up the bike for me - e.g. adjust handlebars or stem. The handlebars aren't set up correctly for me, so I will have to take the bike in to be adjusted somewhere.
Also, it's still unclear about the monkey bars - do I make an appointment at the Chelsea branch? Will they contact me?
Overall, 7/10. Mike's initial patience and friendliness to help me place the order pulls it up from 5/10.

Bicycle Habitat will always be my go to bike shop no matter how far away I live. BH is the epitome of expertise and top notch customer service.
Walked in an hour before closing on a Sunday evening with brakes that were only marginally functional. Rather than doing a quick fix just to get me home (from BK to Harlem), they spent the time to properly address the issue and get me back on the road safely.
