Ben was very helpful in adjusting the brakes on my wife’s bike and made several good suggestions on upgrades we could make in the future. He did not hit me with a hard sell and only made suggestions which would make me more inclined to let Bicycle Cove do that work for me in the future.

I was given some non beginner-friendly advice by one of the workers. I went in to buy some tires for my first bike I purchased used and was told I needed 700x32c tires and they didn’t have what I needed in stock. When I asked about the number on my old tires, the ISO diameter, I was told not to worry about it and that it wasn’t important. Still wanting to support my local bike shop, I purchased some tubes and tire lever tools. I purchased the 700x32c tires recommended to me from an online shop, but did not realize that the ISO diameters did not match my rims, because of the advice I received from this worker. After struggling for hours, I ended up with my tire levers broken, my tubes punctured, and my tires damaged. After looking into it myself, I found that the number I had asked the worker about was very important in the compatibility between tire and rim and it was the workers advice that led to the damage of all of my new purchases. To make things right, I would appreciate replacements for the tire levers and tubes purchased if possible. I’m not sure what can be done about the tires as they were purchased from an online seller, but I doubt I can return them in their current state. I would like to continue to support my local bike shop instead of online shops even at the higher cost, but my only experience so far has been frustrating.
