I recently decided to train for my first triathlon and know nothing about bicycles. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. They helped me pick a bike that matched my needs and was in my budget. I like that I got to try it out before buying. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to buy a bicycle.

my quote was lower than my final price and things that i would consider cosmetic were done when i asked for only functional fixes.

Even though you have a very good, helpful bike mechanic, I will not be back to your hampton cove shop. Nor will I continue to recommend your shop to other fellow cycling advocates. My suggestion to the owner of this shop is to visit other bike shops to see how customers are treated there so you can also model your shop after their example. As long as you have cash register employees who are rude, disrespectful, very limited in their knowledge of cycling, and only get in the way of solving problems, I will not be doing business with you.

The folks here did an awesome job in basically rebuilding the drive train and cleaning up my classic steel Eddie Merckx road bike that I, embarissingly, had neglected for several years. They did a great job in tracking down the older components (8 speed dura ace) needed to get this old gem back in action!
