It's local, and sells good products.
We like the personal touch that we are given when we return to the store, especially being recognized and remembered by Patrick, even though we are only in a couple times a year. We ordered an item, which we had forgotten about, last year and were happy to get a call that it was in. Our normal store is WildRock in Peterborough as we live closer to it than Bicycles Plus but we enjoy looking at other Trek dealers and seeing different items.
The expertise was evident and helpful. Took the time to fit grandson with a bike. Went over options and pros and cons. Very friendly and patient.

Every time I have gone to Asbury Park Cyclery the staff has been super friendly and efficient and is always willing to take the time to help.
Most recently, I took my granddaughter with me for repairs to her bike and to purchase a helmet.
The man who helped me (wish I had asked his name) could not have been more patient with, or kind to, my granddaughter who has thick curly hair. He took the time to fit her with several helmets until he found the right fit for her. He also explained to me how to tighten the helmet and how it is to be properly positioned on my granddaughter's head for optimal protection.

Very quick and thorough with my bicycle. The information given to me about how to personally care for my bicycle is good information since I come from more of a running background and care and maintenance of my bicycle isn't my strong suit.
Cycle City has the best mechanics in Alameda. They have the full range of Trek bicycles. Alameda Cycle has clothing, shoes and maybe a wider range of accessories, but I can almost always find what I need at Cycle City.

1st time customer, referred by my grandson. When I called I got Jacob, very friendly, answered my questions, gave me an estimate.
Got in the same day, simple fix, got a tube replaced quickly by Jacob. While in the wonderful shop I asked questions about my bike that were welcomed. The entire experience was top notch from having my bike removed from my SUV to putting it back in. The total was same as given over phone. Already have plans to return again for tune-up. I know I can trust my bike here and they appreciate my business.

Once again, Brielle Cyclery came through. I needed two new tires, so I just fit a stop in at Brielle to my 30 mile ride that day. I was able to wait at the shop while the tires were installed. Then back on the bike!
The owner, Austin, and his tech crew are knowledgeable, helpful and customer/rider focused. Brought in a bike that has been sidelined and sitting idle in my garage for a few years-broken spokes, rim not trued, misaligned brakes and gears that didn’t shift per specs. Without any request for expedited turnaround, The bike was ready for the road the next day. And No up-selling on the tune-up or repairs. If/when I need tune-ups, repairs or upgrades for the 8 bikes I have (mine + grandkids), I will be going back to South Lyon Bicycle Shop.
