Great equipment, location is convenient, staff is friendly

Mostly friendly staff. The front desk check-in staff is awesome! The bathrooms are clean.
Overall the machines are excellent, although could you please get a new pulldown bar for the pull down? Its the pull hold bar in front of the desk, the rubber grip on it has been bad for years and no one wants to fix it.
Overall, you guys do an excellent job and I will continue to go there
So, today the outdoor pool was 78 degrees and yesterday was 102 outside. Is the thermostat broke. I want to be outside till October and can't even be outside in August! And indoor pool getting cloudy AGAIN! And the filth! The showers are awful and gross junk is growing underneath the bottles of soap.
In addition there is no good aqua equipment. We tried to do a deep water class last week and all the straps were removed from the belts. And the weights are so bad I went out and bought my own. Plus, never enough for a full class.
I know that major repairs are waiting for a remodel but this place is so dirty and no one seems to take responsibility for the minor problems. Getting tired of excuses but no resolution.
Couple machines have been down for about eight weeks.

Painting along half wall along track started two years ago - not finished.
Come on, ya’ll are fully aware of all the issues. It would be okay if it was just constant issues but it is. Only saving grace are your spin instructors. Sharon, Lynne, and Buzz. They are awesome.
You've turned our gym that we used to love into a daycare. Our family cannot enjoy the pool or volleyball courts during the day because there are dozens of young kids running around being wild with very little supervision. The teachers sit and visit together while these children are yelling, throwing things, eating other patrons food (yes one walked right up and took some of my lunch off my plate while I was eating it) etc.
We were billed for purchases we didn't make and sent our statement after card was processed. I reached out to the local manager and it was 2 weeks before she sent it on to someone else. That was another 2 weeks and I have yet to hear that this will be corrected.
I've filled out this survey multiple times, with no response or changes. I don't think anyone actually reads these or even cares.
The renovation has taken WAY too long.
Staff is incredible. Equipment goes un-serviced/ fixed for literal months.
The staff is always helpful and friendly. The equipment is clean and available.

Zéro air conditioning for months, making an otherwise great local experience unpleasant and almost intolerable. Fix it, or we’ll start abandoning it.
Variety of options, open hours
Its just a bunch of things-air conditioner in kids club and ladies locker room never is working. kids club gals told me they aren't fixing it until end of summer. cafe is rarely open especially on the weekends. no classes on weekends after 11-some classes early morning but kids club isn't open yet. towels always an issue.
I'm looking forward to a modern pool lift so I can independently transfer from my wheelchair.
Travis and Tim were super helpful in helping me transfer to and from lift to wheelchair.
Machines are rarely broken down. Circuit machines are spaced out.
Friendly staff and clean equipment
Restock towels during busy hours. Throw away the spray bottles that don’t work.
Seems like the club may be struggling a little, house keeping and maintenance has fallen off some. Some of the drains in the men's shower are draining slow, at least two of the showers won't turn on. The doors on the men's lockers are filthy and look the same each day, I occasionally wipe some off with my towel. Maybe you're understaffed, which is pretty common in today's world. I am curious about another issue, for quite sometime the pool wolf fill up with young kids in the middle of the day. I doubt they were members, but just guessing. Although I did see a school buss out in front a couple of times during that time. The towel situation has improved, but still seems like the staff doesn't seem to be able to get ahead on clean towels like they used to,
Clubs are dirty and half of the TV's on treadmills don't work.
The air conditioning/heating is never cooling or heating correctly. This has been going on for a few years. The parking lot is in bad condition, there are always machines that are not functioning. I've spoken to "people in charge" and I always get a lame answer.
Location
The facility feels very small and there are more essential pieces of equipment that are needed for most of my friends.
Haven’t been there in years
They say the air is fixed, but it is still too hot. Everyone is talking about it when we are all lifting in the weight room. The reason most of us stay on board is because of the relationships and friendships we have, not because of the quality of the gym. With all due respect, I feel it is going downhill. I am only keeping this membership to come and lift and do the occasional aerobics class because what I pay is not going to break my bank. I have tried other Genesis gyms and the air is stagnant and stuffy in those gyms too. I feel the air is only good at the Aerobics room on 135th. The main gym is hot. The Metcalf gym is nice, but once you get upstairs it is stuffy as well. I was a member of Lifetime for a couple of years and they never had an AC problem. I do not understand why it is so difficult for Genesis to get control of their cooling systems. The only reason I came to Healthridge several years ago was because of the classes. I still feel out of all the gyms in KC they have the best classes, however, who wants to work out when it is that hot.

I'm a long time member and appreciate the facilities and staff. However, the facilitiy (particularly the men's locker and shower area) is filthy and in significant disrepair. Just this morning, I noticed faulty tile work, significant amounts of mold, non working / hanging shower curtains, among other items. There were no cleaning towels for equipment available this morning at 5am and yesterday there were no large towels available. I really appreciate Genesis and the facilitiy but there is a significant amount of improvements that should be made in day to day upkeep, cleanliness and management. I understand that with hundreds of ppl using the facility per day so expectations need to be kept in check but current state is below acceptable.
It is rare to actually be greeted when I walk in. No hello or welcome or anything.
Faucets in the ladies restroom are corroded around the base.
It just needs attention.
Pools have been fine.
Front desk greeters could be more friendly by always saying hello and good bye.
More classes offered at night and weekends.
Continue to discourage cell phone use in locker rooms.
Scrub sides of indoor pool so it doesn’t have so much gray buildup.
