For the amount of money being paid monthly, I expect better equipment. So many machines are broken down or the leather is torn and ripped. It’s so difficult to get everything done that I want to accomplish because so much is damaged or broken.
Variety of equipment & classes, location choices, hours
The womens bathrooms are not the nicest. Kinda dirty. Also equipment seems to be broken a lot - treadmills
Don't know if the air conditioning worked in the entire club at once all summer for the price of our membership most people expect a better maintained club
Every time I walk through the door at Genesis I am greeted by a friendly face, cheerful atmosphere! Helpful associates and a wide selection of classes to choose from!!
Fix the massage chairs or get new ones. It has been well over a year since they have both been broken. What is the status of the massage chairs??
Great classes! Outdoor pools and tennis/pickleball courts.
I like the amount benches, bars, and free weights that you have. It makes it easy to find a place to lift and ample amounts of choices in what I am able to do on the day. I also appreciate that there are powerlifting platforms and bumper plates making it easy to deadlift and it does not feel like I am going to damage the regular floor. And even though I don't user it often, I enjoy the pool and the option to use it if I would like.
Sauna
Cleanliness of facility and friendliness of staff
I work out at both this location & the BA site. Although there is a great variety of equipment, & I appreciate the classes, there are some disappointing things that you should know. 1. I rarely see staff walk around & check the equipment, especially the cardio equipment. I've been on up to 4 different pieces of equipment before I found one that was working correctly. Staff should routinely check equipment to ensure it's in proper working order. 2. I've had to ask the staff more than once to re-fill the spray bottles used to clean equipment as it's often empty. 3. Several pieces of cardio equipment have malfunctioning TV's. For example, one treadmill will have about 10 working channels, while another treadmill will have a lot more. One elliptical will allow you to change the channel, but only going down & not going up. This is a common occurrence with the cardio equipment - only able to change channels one direction. 4. I regularly observe guests never cleaning their equipment after using it. But there's no staff that will go upstairs at BA & check equipment, clean it, emphasize people clean their equipment, etc. 5. The women's restroom often has empty soap bottles. Again, there seems to be a lack of staff exercising quality measures to ensure this is a better gym. Thanks
The sauna and pool
Sprague is always very clean when I'm there, the staff is friendly and I like that it doesn't feel super crowded
Updated equipment.
The pool has been down now for 3 weeks and I heard it will be another 3 to 4 weeks. This is why I joined this gym. Definately do not feel I am getting my money's worth. Also there seems to be no urgency to start working on the new facility in the old sears building. A lot of hype but there has been no action. We would bot have all the problems with the pool if we were in the new building.
I like the water fitness classes and the sauna but the staff is always very pleasant
Lots of group exercise classes!
Love the classes and the instructors. We do need more 7 1/2 lbs.weights in the exercise room. Some of them are in really bad shape.
Friendly helpful, and ready to keep you on track
We’re working out at a different Club than our normal one. For the most part everyone has been really friendly and helpful. The trainer for my husband is wonderful. He understands the health issues my husband has and is working with. I’ve been able to work with strengthening my surgery leg. This Club is good for us.
Brandon - I like a lot about the gym at genesis. The wifi there works very well, music is streaming without freezing so that’s good. The steam rooms are very private and people follow the rules so it’s an enjoyable experience for all.
Fix what’s broken. The front door and the leak at top of stairwell have been broken and out of use for MONTHS. Does not display good stewardship, or prompt attention to problems w resolutions. Not fixing things like this are often symptoms of bigger problems. Management needs to take responsibility, have repairs done, figure it out. I understand things break, but I don’t want to come to a place that’s broken down and appears neglected.
No machines work at Midtown. Absolute trash. Everything is dirty
