It's clean and has most of the amenities I want at a reasonable price. The staff is friendly and helpful. The equipment is high quality.
Too many company changes, outdated facility, and dirty. Been a member for 10 years and the only reason I’m still there is because of a few of the Prairie Life staff members that are still there. Laurie in Pilates, Leo the GM, and Nancy at the front desk are kind, helpful, and make me feel like family. If they leave so will my family.

The gym is dirty. Equipment is broken. Proper Covid protocols aren’t being followed. There was black mold in the basketball area. Broken glass in mirrors. In all honesty, if it wasn’t for your personal trainers I would have never come back after quarantine.
I love the space and how there is 2 of every machine and that there is more than enough weights and machines to get your workout done.
Location is convenient for me.
Facility offers the equipment I am looking for in a gym.
Towel service is a plus.

You didn't ask what I feel could be improved, but I will put some thoughts here anyway.
Equipment out of order (mostly cardio) percentage of machines available is high and repair does not appear to be timely. Men's locker room lockers have a number of units that are missing parts such as hanger bars and hooks, lock plates, doors off hinges. Men's wet area could use a refresh. I have noticed that the men's hot tub often has very cloudy, grey, water. There have been days when I choose not to use the hot tub because of the appearance of the water. The men's sauna functions nicely, but even before Covid-19 hit you couldn't get more that 4-5 persons. Social distancing allows no more that 2 persons. The showers have several stalls that the H or C indicators are reverse of what happens when you move the faucet handle. When TAC bought Prairie Life they were going to make big improvements to all the clubs. They didn't get to Lincoln's improvements before they sold to Genesis. I know Genesis is not bound by promises made by TAC but an attractive, clean, well run facility is necessary to maintain the membership.
it has so many amenities that most of the clubs in the Des Moines area don't have. A nice running track, indoor and outdoor pools and whirlpool, sauna , and steam room in locker rooms as well as many classes. I like that you are trying to keep people safe during Covid-19 but do wish more people were wearing masks while working out.

times to accommodate the regular lap swimmers.
I play a lot of tennis and there aren’t many indoor courts in Lincoln. With the colder weather we aren’t able to play outside much anymore. Court time on the weekend is tough with the hours of 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Sat) and 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Sun). I would really like to see the hours extended on the weekend. Can the hours be changed to 7:00 AM - 9:00 or 10:00 PM on the weekends?

place is not adherent to cleanliness. equipment NOT cleaned often by any employyes! also, members all too often not cleaning equipment after use...and NO ONE from genesis seems to be around to inform those who don't comply..or don't think its important. I almost only use the pool..as I do not feel comfortable upstairs.
NOTE: the genesis south club on 135th is terrific in this issue...so I choose to go there.
The shower areas a a little outdated. This place has all the amenities but I don't care for the saunas/steam rooms inside the locker rooms. The steam room smells pretty bad. Also, there is just one area for cardio. Ultimately its a really nice club outside the shower area. I will be back as the pool area is big and nice and the upstairs weight room is nice. I live right across from the sprague location and will be going to that more often because of its location.
Since Genesis took over the location the quality of the club has deteriorated. The staff who were originally with Prairie Life (and the The Athletic Club) are great, but the equipment is old and often unavailable due to mechanical issues. The "We're On It!" placards don't fool anyone. And the facility itself needs a power wash -- it's really dingy and
Again, the staff is great and I especially appreciate how hard they work to keep the club clean and staff and members safe. This is not a commentary on them, but rather on the new ownership who has shown very little, if any, interest in the MTC location.
Clean the facility! Get hot water to working showers. Clean the lockers! And most importantly GET THE MOLD OUT OF THE STEAMROOM. Unless it has been recently redone, the steamroom had areas of bleach where they tried to mask the nastiness in there. Years ago, I heard they stopped paying the overnight crew to clean the steamroom, which is 95% of reason I have a membership is for the steamroom. About a year ago or so, I saw a manager powerwashing the wet area and trying their best - but IT NEEDS A CONTACT CLEANING. Honestly this is a good location but some clientel here kinda contribute to nastiness. If Genesis is going to benefit from a location that is as busy as this one is it must also invest in it's maintenance. Right now, I literally drove past the Independence location and drive an additional 9 miles(18 round trip) to the south to go to the Lees Summit location because it is cleaner and the steamroom is maintained.
Upgrade some equipment. I love the group fitness Class instructors!!
The trainers are great and the staff is friendly. The facility is very clean.
Lack of towels in the cardio room. I was there last Sunday and spent 45 minutes in the room. No towels when I got there and none were brought in. I had to go find a towel elsewhere. Therefore a lot of people could not wipe down their equipment when they were done. A few other times I have been in it was down to just a handful of towels on just one of the racks.
The features I most enjoy about this Genesis Cloud located at 84th & Q are its towel service, its indoor track, the high level of cleanliness it maintains, and amenities such as shaving cream in the changing rooms. Its staff are always professional and courteous as they immediately stop whatever they are doing to quickly screen and check-in existing club members.

I wish you were open later, as you were previously. I don't get off work until 7pm. By the time I get home, get changed and get to the club, it's difficult to get a good workout in. I hope you will reconsider staying open later for those who work later in the day.
Also, despite signage stating "No cellphone use in the locker room" or hot tub area, the other day there was a young man in the hot tub area using his phone taking pictures of himself (Nothing lewd) but still he shouldn't be using it in the shower/hot tub area of the mens area. Obviously privacy is a major concern.
Your customer service is terrible. I have been trying to get ahold of the club manager for a month. I keep calling being told I will get a call back same day and never do. After the 11th call to them I gave up (6700 W 110th Street gym in Overland Park) I had an issue with my cancellation and it’s THE MOST painful and agonizing process I can go through. Also, a gym might randomly shut down with little to no notice and without a window for a “no penalty” termination due to inconvenience. I was told by a customer care representative “well we have a gym just 10 minutes away from the one we closed, what’s the big deal”? ARE YOU KIDING ME? The issue isn’t that it’s 10 minutes away, the issue is I am now spending 20 minutes of my time instead of 4 minutes to go from my home to a gym. I calculated out the gas and time, I spend an additional 375$ And waste an additional 17 hours per year now to go to your gym “just ten minutes away”. I would NEVER recommend anyone go to a Genesis gym. I do not agree with the business practices, I don’t appreciate the contracts and rigidity, I don’t appreciate the severe lack of approach to potential Covid outbreaks, I don’t appreciate the incredible lack of customer service, and every opportunity I get I will actively tell people to AVOID a genesis membership.
