The hot tub and steam room never works, it needs a hugh makeover to resemble and function like the Olathe Genesis
It’s clean and well maintained.
The service, cleanliness, maintenance and atmosphere is not the same as it was with One Life Fitness.
You need to close the club down to fix the showers. Wasting millions of gallons of water is not acceptable. And the colors which have been chosen make the club look dirtier than it is.
I like the club because the machines are up to date and taken care of. The employees are friendly and the gym i go to has become my home gym.
As a long-term member, it is good to see the Club members coming in early morning to workout.
I would like to see you offer the members the "modified Iron Man" exercise event annually again.

Not maintaining equipment. Very few class offerings since COVID hit. Never ramped the schedule back up. Spin classes used to be packed - need high energy instructors with high energy music that changes every class.
Trainers are very knowledgeable and dedicated; they are there for the client's interest. The staff is friendly and polite. There are group sessions to fit most anyone. The Equipment is in great shape and there is enough of it. Areas is clean, neat and appealing to both men and women. The other clients there are respectful and polite. Glad we joined again after a brief hiatus.
Keep bathrooms, equipment and facility clean and updated. Fix broken equipment (treadmills, paper towel dispensers, toilets etc). Get more towels. Fix AC in workout class rooms.

the men's wet area is uniquely set up---especially when compared to other genesis facilities
The A/C problems for over the past month is discouraging. I understand that some of it is out of control but there is no communication. Therefore, I just go to another location that is quite a bit farther.

Equipment upgrades
The Overland Park North location has yet to be updated. And it is lacking cleanliness in some areas. Hoping those issues can be addressed.
Also, I enjoy the spin/cycle classes, however the sounds system/speakers and dvd all need to be updated. There are issues weekly. Also, spin bikes are great when serviced regularly. But on more occasions than not, the bikes have issues such as needing battery replaced or other issues.
Nice locker rooms. Both pools. Clean.
Never given my reward points for leaving a review because someone was salty I guess. Prices comically high on protein shakes and I think memberships aren't great value anymore compared to some other gyms.
There's always equipment open for use so no waiting.
Locker rooms are on goid shape.
The gym and staff are great. However, more times than not, the new paper towel dispensers on the floor are out of paper towels. Same goes for the locker room. Inoperable equipment goes months without repair - granted supply chain issues could be the explanation for this. Many bands are frail and look on the verge of snapping. Staff needs to be empowered to enforce rules on the floor (i.e., talking on phones, dropping dumbbells, cleaning equipment after use). Options for good gyms in STL are slim so these things wouldn’t drive me away from Genesis, but these are the areas where I see room for improvement. Thanks for asking!
Overall the gym is a good place to go and workout. However the locker room still leaves some thing be desired as so many locks are broken or locked out making the locker unusable. It appearance that no one in management is willing to fix this problem that has lasted for years. Please fix this problem so I can give a higher rating!!!
Get the showers done. It’s taken 3 months!
It’s really hard to get courts. I would like to see a few pickball courts.
The women's showers need to have doors/curtains.
Showers both male& female are horrible! Broken tiles on a wall. Hot tub not working. Several showers not functioning. Mold/mildew where floor meets wall in hallway. Poor towels and hardly ever enough big towels available. No shower caddies. Most broken off. Only reason we have not left is There are several instructors that I really like. But my husband is ready to change . Hopefully you will update the club as it needs it.
Maintenance of the facilities is a sham and a disgrace.
I really like the pool. I am able to do my physical therapy in the water after my surgeries. It helps me regain my strength and improve my muscle strength.

It is too warm inside the club in the summer - this is a result of one (of 2) air conditioner units being stolen approximately 2 years ago and has not been replaced. Proper airflow is necessary to fight Covid as well. Also, the carpet is quite old and was scheduled to be replaced over 3 years ago and still hasn't. In addition, may of the pads on the equipment are worn down and need to be replaced. Lastly, the water in the men's bathroom sink is just a dribble (single bathroom next to Manager's office). Genesis needs to take some pride and update this facility!
