The gym is falling apart? Water damage and water coming from the roof every other day. The basketball courts are never kept up or cleaned. The only thing this gym cares about is tennis. I would not recommend this gym to anyone. The basketball gym has been so bad, the adults that used to come for noon ball left and went else where.
Clean facility and great choice of classes!
The facilities are in desperate need of repair. Trainers are great though!
The broken ac and hot conditions make it so I’d be unlikely to recommend the this location at this time. If it weren’t for the amazing instructors I would have probably changed my membership level already. When that’s fixed, it’s possible that outlook would change.
the men's locker room smells AWFUL around the showers. The drains need to be cleaned out, and the grout could use a good scrubbing.

Only change I would make is lower the volume of music on the gym floor, and also the music that plays outside the gym. It's nice to have the background noise, but sometimes the music is distracting. The volume in walkways and corridors is good. Thank you!
Same deficiencies as always that are never addressed. No swim suit dryers in locker rooms. No scales in locker rooms. Every other club with a pool that I have belonged to had dryers. Apparently management believes that one small scale in the public area is sufficient. Who wants to strip and weigh himself/herself in front of strangers in a public setting? At least some outdoor furniture was finally purchased, but not enough and pretty cheap. The entire outdoor area needs a major facelift. At least you are no longer running out of clean towels very often.
Love the pool and water aerobics instructors. Who, you are doing a great job leading them. Looking forward to the women's locker room renovation being complete. Also hope they will renovate the aging sauna.
Parking is horrendous. First, two hours free parking is insufficient when you workout before going to work. Does not afford enough time to workout and shower & dress.
At least twice a week or more there’s a problem with the parking gates. In the month of Sept alone, I’ve had to pay $15 to get out. Why? My fob wasn’t working (software issue), and neither was the call box to alert someone to the issue. I also left my fob at home and thought they could give me a parking sticker. I was told to simply use the call box and explain the issue. Call box rang but no one answered.
My membership fees include parking. I’m paying twice. If this continues, I’ll go to another gym without paid parking.
Only half the treadmills work properly, the two Rowing machines that we are allowed to use are outdated, and right now the remodel is limiting showers in the mens room and there is no feedback on when things will get done, like was promised. I do like the cafe and classes offered. I wish it wasn't extra to join the All American and cross fit.

Cleanliness. Mats in classroom are filthy. Need to be replaced and then cleaned frequently. Parking lot is in poor condition. Athletic Club sign on east side of building needs to be removed. Videos on treadmills don’t work and no sound on large TV’s.
Several of the treadmills either don’t work at all, or act up once on them. They are not marked as out of order. Also, soap dispenser in Mens restroom are empty have the time. Not thrilled about cleanliness of machines either.
It seems like the equipment isn’t being maintained very well. Also the cleanliness of the Locker room has declined.
Get the men's steam room back in service. I'm going to W. 13th at this time.
the membership is very engaging & friendly. The interaction helps to motivate me.
Overall I like it. I love the classes and instructors. Not as clean as it used to be. Would like to be able to use Genesis points for smoothies. Not interested in entering contests for prizes.
Layed back no pressure environment. Kind reception.
9-26-22 - main complaints center around the Men's locker room and that is being fixed.
Other:
* Otherwise, I always find the indoor lap pool dirty and with band aids, sand, etc. as I wear goggles and can see all the debris.
* It must be hard to find good help, as a lot of employees have their eyes and hands on their cell phones, and not communicative or working.
* A lot of the resistance training equipment is broke and in need of repair or everyday maintenance.
* Pilates Mat class is hard to attend between 8-5pm as most people are employed.
* Positives are great parking, friendly staff when they are not watching their cell phones, a clean facility for the most part, and the hours are reasonable. Thanks.
I joined Genisis Health Club n mid-August. I was excited to start working on new health goals and was eager to get a solid workout plan. Shortly after I joined, I was offered to have a complimentary assessment by a PT, which I eagerly accepted. I met with the PT and we casually discussed my goals and that my personal target was to have a solid plan in place and see results in three months.
He agreed this was a good plan and offered me three free PT sessions and also stated additional sessions would cost $80 each, but I could cancel anytime as long as I gave at least 24 hours' notice. After one month of working with the PT I received a bill for $400 (September for the monthly payment of $78.55 and personal training payment for $320 for a total of $398.55). I was shocked at the cost and I let my PT know that I no longer wanted to pay for additional training.
I was dumbfounded to find out that I was locked into a three-month contract with the PT. This is not what we discussed. I called the corp office and the person I spoke with said that PT's Manager would call me on Friday, 9/23, to discuss. This never happened. I have been going back and forth via text with the PT and requested numerous times to speak with his manager. Still NO WORD from the manager. I am extremely disappointed and will NOT recommend Genesis to ANYONE.

The only thing, is if the hot tub is not working,
You Should be allowed to go to the club whose hot tub is working & have access during that time

We know you are working to make upgrades to the club and look forward to the changes. Right now it seems that upgrades are in transition so it would be hard to recommend the Ridgeview location until the locker rooms are finished and functioning. I would recommend the Metcalf location at this point as it seems new, fresh and clean.

There have been a few times in the last month that I scanned in but it was not recorded. I need to track my visits to earn a reimbursement from my insurance so it’d be helpful if that was accurately recorded.
It would be nice to have hand soap in the mens bathroom
