Good area of town, clean, and the staff are friendly.
It has all the exercise equipment that helps me get fit. It works out with my schedule to get in and out of the gym. It also a nice clean atmosphere.

Fix the water pressure in the men's showers. Only one shower has decent pressure. Figure out how to keep the paper towel dispensers in the men's locker working. Several occasions, both dispensers have either been out of paper, or they weren't working at all. Fix the lake in the men's locker/shower/pool entrance junction. I'm aware it's always there, but it is a huge slip hazard, especially after a full leg day.
Enforce re-racking weights. It gets incredibly tiresome and interrupts workout session timing to have to hunt down weights halfway across the gym because they weren't put away, and staff didn't do a check to make sure the correct weights are on the correct side of the gym. Kindly request your trainers either allow others to work in, or not monopolize a machine for 30-45 minutes at a time. I understand they are working, but some of us have workout plans, and limited time in the gym to get our work done as well.
I think that gym capacity is maxed out in the mornings. You are walking a balancing act of performing a major remodel while staying open. Also, the equipment is starting to suffer neglect. I get it, no point making the machines, benches, weights, etc new when construction is on going, but it is also not realistic to think you can be adding new clients in that environment.
I love Genesis! I love all the amenities you can take part in whether it is exercise classes ranging from yoga to kick boxing or using different cardio machines or weights from the weight room. I love unwinding in the hot saunas and go home feeling great! Most of all the people who work at Genesis are amazing. They truly care about you and help you in any way they can. Greta Black, Jack Cotter, Shannon Palmer and Gabriel Issac are just a few of the wonderful people who have helped me through the years to continue to be my best self! It's not just a health club...it's the family you choose!
Make sure all the stationary bikes have working pedals, most don't even have them.
Staff is awesome and always helpful . Trainers are knowledgeable and enjoyable to work with.
The Rock Road club has amazing instructors and trainers. Years of experience and ability to customize classes and training to meet client's needs.

I love the reservation system the club has for swimming laps. It makes the swimming experience more pleasant and well organized.
The Fort Collins club is clean. No dirty towels around the building, bathrooms always have all the essentials needed. Very clean too!
The staff at Genesis are amazing! I think if corporate Genesis would care even a fraction as much as they do about the McPherson club, it could be AMAZING! The only thing the local staff could do better would be cleaning the floor in the Group Fitness room. Otherwise, the local staff is seriously the best and do everything they can to make Genesis successful in McPherson!
I have been a member longer than I can remember. Love the people and setup of the gym. However, the locker room showers, fans, floor etc. all hardly function and are filthy. There seems to be a lack of attention to cleaning things like the fan blades in the exercise area. Makes you wonder how cleani other areas are. My only other comment is on the audio on the treadmills is extremely poor. Only a few are usable to tune in the tv's. Maybe these are small things to you, but those of us that use them it is a disposition. Those are the reasons I hesitate to recommend the gym
Too expensive for the product provided. Locker rooms smell terrible constantly - there are 3 flat benches. I’ll say that again 3 standard. Flat. Benches in a HUGE gym. I have never seen the cardio section at maximum use - why are there 50 ellipticals?! I’ve seen 15 used at 1 time before but never even 50% utilization. It’s a waste of space.
Not to mention the power went out for 3 hours last time I was in - why is the power going out? No AC? Pretty silly with a 90$ price tag a month
Everything is so clean & well taken care! The staff is so willing to help , so friendly & encouraging!! I love the “Silver Sneakers” class, instructors are great, the class is fun & I’ve met so many nice people too!!

Machines are down for weeks at a time some times. Also could be cleaner, dust all over the floor where there is not high traffic.
The Cardio equipment is in bad shape on the main level. One treadmill has been broken for 3 months and not fixed. The other cardio on the main level needs fixing. I watch members daily switch from machine to machine to try and find one that works. There are also cardio machines that are out of order upstairs that have been so for months. The cleaning bottles are also inconsistently on the floor as well. I could not find one today when I was working out to clean the equipment.
On a positive note, the General Manager is excellent! I do not know his name but he is very customer focused and goes the extra mile. He is the best General Manager that club has had over the past 10 years. The Operations Manager is also very attentive.
Building updates and repairs are badly needed. How long do we have blocked off hallways and doors that don’t work.
Better communication about classes and changes in classes is important. When the mind and body room was closed in August and the class schedules were all jumbled up, no one knew what was going on from instructors to class participants. It was not a good example of communication at its best!! I like the classes I attend but they were mostly canceled or the time changed in august and I didn’t know when they were going to happen.
No children and Mary Alice Morgan is a fantastic trainer.

The remodel is ugly. The signs on the wall are illegible. It’s a mess.

it's a nicely laid out facility and good equipment. A good number of group classes.
The building is completely dilapidated and sometimes I wonder how safe it is in there. It’s embarrassing and I would never recommend a club that refuses to fix leaking roof, disgusting bathrooms that have constant plumbing issues, mold and many other issues. I only joined because of the promise of a remodel but I’m beginning to lose hope and will return to Lifetime.
I go to the BA Genesis because it is more convenient to my home. I might recommend Woodland Hills Genesis too someone who lived in that area of town
The facility itself is getting a little worn down.
You don't fix your equipment. The front treadmills at Woodland hills have half working and half that don't work. The machine to take water out of swim suits has been broken for months. That's the problem with all Genesis gyms is that they don't maintain their equipment. This is the same with the gym at midtown as well. Clean the gyms and fix the equipment. Funny Planet Fitness is a cheap gym with no atmosphere but the equipment is immaculate and always is in working order.
