The friendly atmosphere
Everyone is always very friendly and willing to help with any questions you may have.
I like that it's open 24 hrs a day
Fix the leaks. Clean and update the tennis courts, walls and replace the green drapes. You have wonderful staff, the facility should be updated!!!!!
The Cass location has been on point...but Genesis needs to work on their Tanning Bed Game.
There is only one tanning bed at the Midtown location and it's $38 per month to use it!!!
A pass to Planet Fitness is only $25 and they have newer equipment AND you can bring a friend for free!
Other than that, you guys are great and I'd like to thank you all for helping me in my fitness journey.
This review is for the Fort Collins Club:
I have noticed that is some areas of the club, equipment is showing its age and/or wear and tear. All Precor ellipticals with the handles are starting to get a little run down. The ellipticals (with handles) that are in the cardio area nearer to the front desk are even older and the incline is not adjustable.
Various benches have some tears as of recent and I notice pulleys fraying at times.
I've been working with one of the personal trainers (Siena) in recent months on some Olympic lifting. Which has been great by the way! In doing this, we've discovered there is only one women's weightlifting bar (a ~30 lb bar with a smaller diameter for a women's grip) in the entire club and it is stored in the equipment closet. The 10 and 15 pound bumper plates also mostly get stored in the closet and none are available in the weight room much of the time. Sometimes the closet gets locked up completely and there is no access to these items when I want to practice on my own. The 10 and 15 pound plates in the weight room are all a much smaller diameter than the 25+ plates which puts you at a lower starting height than is ideal for some exercises (clean and jerk; snatch, etc). If there is room in the budget to get a few more of these items to be permanently stored in the weight room, it would be much appreciated!
I would also love to see a few more sandbags and kettlebells that are heavier than 50 lbs upstairs.
Overall, the club has really improved in the last year and I can tell that the Club Manager is really trying to do a great job. Thanks for listening!
Staff never have clean big towels to use. Last time I went my friend took the last one and staff member said they only have 3 available to use and my friend took the last one.
More rubber mats for floor work. I can usually only find one on the 2nd floor. I don’t loke doing crunches or planks on tue green faux grass (unsanitary and uncomfortable).
Also, there don’t seem to be enough small towels on the second floor for wipe-downs.
It’s located conveniently for me.
Sometimes employees are very rude, especially Landy, Although most people are very nice.
Also sometimes the courts are very dirty.
Often times there are no towels. Cleanliness of the women's locker room is an issue, as well as cleanliness of the pool. Discrepancies with sub teachers not teaching for a full hour, but only 45 minutes when the class is listed as an hour long class (water exercise).
The POOL! The POOL! The POOL! cold one day, warm the next, cold one day, warm the next. Upstairs: ALL the machines are dirty especially where the foot rests; the treadmills are dirty on the side tracks. This doesn't take rocket science to remedy.
On the good side: Todd (Maintenance) is THE MAN! Great worker, great guy. Antonio, another great maintenance employee - pleasant, professional, great smile. Kim in the kitchen - another great employee!!!!!!
The gym has removed multiple towel/disinfectant stations on the gym floor which makes it harder to clean equipment, and makes it more likely that users won't sanitize equipment properly. Multiple benches are ripped up/damaged as well as multiple cardio machines that are old/aging and don't work properly.
Everything seems great! I would love to see a dry sauna at the North Club:) Seems like there is plenty of space!
It is cold inside and equipment is always available.
Maintenance seems to be lower than we are used to.
-Spin room has broken blinds and now has cardboard to block light. Blinds have been broken for at least a year.
-Rubber medicine balls are the same ones we have been using for 12 years. Most are now missing
-Spin bikes clips are in all disarray, some have straps that don't connect so if you use cleats the strap flaps. Many have broken springs for the cleats so using them is hard if at all possible.
-Spin bike computers don't work correctly so finding a working bike takes a while.
-Towels are getting to be harder to find in the mornings, many racks have nothing on them.
These are not big issues at all but we are paying a big premium right now for this gym.
I like what fitness opportunities are provided. I would like to see the facility be cleaner.
I don’t know if there are future plans for updating but facility is in need of general updating.
The staff is great, best gym in Kansas City
A few of the stair climbers have been out of commission for over six weeks. Too often the mens locker room is out of soap and/or paper towels. Remodels are being completed at clubs but this club has a feel that it is going out of business.
You have made huge improvements on the cleanliness of the group exercise room. There are still some of the mats that need to be replaced. The entrance still needs to be power washed or just some manual labor to get it cleaned up.

Gym equipment is broken a lot of the time and takes a long time to fix it. Locker room facilities on the best. Central air quality is lacking.
