It is a good club! Plain and does the job!

Convenient location and clean
It'd be nice to have more consistency with staff in front. Steam room in men's locker room and hot tub by pool often seem to have issues.
It is annoying to me to walk through the locker room and restroom area with water all over the floor from the water arobics classes. I prefer to do Yoga and I don't want to be wet from using the restroom/locker room before I go to class.
Also, I would prefer to have full-sized towels on the counter of the Courtesy Services desk back by the locker room instead of up front where you check in.
The parking lot could definitely be improved. Lot's of uneven pavement is showing up.
Your club is falling apart and nothing seems be getting done to fix it. There is water leaking for the roof, and has been for quite awhile now, and instead of getting it fixed for the past couple of months, you just caution off an area around it and place trash bins where the water is dripping from. For some reason you couldn't get the ice machine to work, so instead of replacing it, you just got rid of it.
I'm not sure how this business is still operating. Everything is disgustingly dirty all the time, there's still dust over all the treadmills and equipment never seems to get fixed or updated.
I've been told since Sept of 2020 that updates were coming and we just need to wait for this brand new beautiful space and then nothing changes. The ONLY reason I'm still even using the treadmills at your facility is because work pays for my membership, but I've been seriously considering even dropping that since it appears that you don't care at all about those who use your facility.
None of the pull-up bars have any grip and the neutral grip handles twist and slip when grabbed.
Variety of classes and the instructors
Trainers are very professional however it’s u fortunate when the hold machines for their client. There were 2 trainers holding 6 machines.
Men’s locker room is dirty half the showers don’t work the tile is disgusting overall cleanliness is below average parking lots have trash in them
Too dirty and broken down equipment
I like the wide variety of equipment. However, there are too few treadmills for the demand while too many ellipticals go unused. I like the hot tub being available after a workout and shower. Locker room is very nice and spacious.
Losing your best instructors. Hope you can find some excellent replacements.

Location, location,
I use the Genesis fitness center in Lees Summit (350 Highway). This center has not been updated in years. The equipment is old and dated, the fitness center is dirty, the men's changing room smells and is in need of cleaning.
For parking, sure there are a lot of regular parking places, but only two handicap. I'm a disabled Vet and many times use a handicap parking place when available. But 99% of the time at the Lees Summit fitness center, non-handicap members park in the handicap spot because they are closest to the front door. When i asked someone to report this i was told that it's not the club responsibility.
Improvement is needed!
The club is completely over run with students. Sometimes 4 are all on 1 machine at a time. Most congested club I've ever been in. Love the layout, machines and staff, just constantly full.
The facility seems in poor repair with yellow tape, waste baskets collecting rain water, exit doors that don't work and a strong order of old perspiration in the fitness area.
A/C has been broke all summer
The hot tubs are not working, need doors on showers, need cleaning. Pool area has at least one old spider of dust web in it. It's been there over a month. Floor of shower room/toilet areas have not been cleaned since who knows when.
Nice indoor track. Plenty of weights and machines at any given time. Lovely swim pools for all ages. Lockers rooms with showers and TOWELS.
Clean, well lit, nice equipment, plenty of space.
Stay open later on weekends. I LOVE that you Keep outdoor pools open later in year (which I believe is still the plan).
Elliptical machines calibrated for weight loss.

Genesis is considerably more expensive than other gyms, so it wouldn't be my first recommendation.

The courts are usually pretty dirty. Also, having to reserve a court at 5 am is unreasonable.
