Hours and staff
Our beloved, well used facility is showing its age. So many lockers without locks. So many of the locks get locked out. Usually if I'm there it's pretty early in the morning and you can tell lockers are locked that are not in use. Could someone go through and "free" all the locked lockers either as part of shut down at night or start up in the morning? I'm excited about the renovations in the locker room and spa. I hope the spa can recover - I love having a monthly massage at such a convenient location in a facility that I trust.
Improve the air conditioning throughout the building. Improve the air handling in the ladies shower area. I expect the ceiling to fall in due to mold and mildew. The mirror in the ladies shower area is in terible condition.
During the summer, it's too hot in the building to work out. And I never have figured out where this special annual fee is being spent.
I feel like most of the time at the front desk the employees are standing around talking to each other. There are a few exceptions of staff not getting involved with this but when they have a crowd you only find 2 folding towels and speaking to people coming in to work out and 3-6 talking to each other. This use to be a family operated business that was cleaner than now. Now it seems like the owners on down just don’t care. I don’t need to see dirt, band aides, hair, etc on the floors. If they’re are getting paid than help out any which way you can.

Your facilities are beautiful. I love the treadmills with the fans. Would like to have the snack bar with more options. What about clothing?
The gym is falling apart. Out Of Order signs get put on things and then they never get fixed. Half of the treadmills are not fully functional. There isn’t a working scale. Only half of the sinks work correctly. Locker doors get removed instead of fixed. Cables on the machines are broken. This is a small gym. There’s not that much stuff. Every piece of equipment is vital. My membership is paying for access to these basic things and they’re all just falling apart in front of me.
There is only one yoga class offered in the evenings. There is no longer cenergy classes. I would like more of these types of classes offered in the evenings like there used to be. I almost canceled my membership over this issue.
A year ago I left behind a pair of boxing gloves at this location. I went back an hour later, after calling in and being told they were there, but the gloves were gone. I was told they were in lost and found but they couldn’t be accessed; I continued to press the clerk until he let me look and they were not there. I kept questioning him and found out that a maintenance employee had already taken them home. I was told I wouldn’t have gotten them back anyway bc due to the timing of the situation the lost and found happened to be emptied that night. I said I would have to file a police report and within an hour someone brought my gloves thru a side door. I will never return here bc the employee working that night went great lengths to avoid taking responsibility and it is obvious that someone is playing finders keepers when there is a lost and found. I am extremely disappointed that lying people play these games and I am also convinced that the alibi I was given wasn’t even true. Thank you for hearing my complaint and I’m not sure how genesis would want to make it right

Love the pool
Repair and maintenance is lacking. Pieces and parts do get fixed, but more times than not after a long time period shut down (plumbing mens locker room). Need deeper cleaning of showers and steam room in mens locker room. Upstairs track often dirty and collects dust bunnies. Needs more frequent vacuuming. Cell phones continue to be used in the mens locker in spite.

I love your variety of exercise classes and I especially love the instructors of those classes. I am in great health and great shape because of them!!

Locker room needs to be maintained better,and there always seems too be a lack of towels.
Locker room cleanliness is a disgrace. Look up at the vents above the showers, check out the toilet areas, clean the tiles and grout, remove hair from shower drains more frequently. In other words, open your eyes.
The pool area needs paint both in the pools and the indoor walls. Scrub the area between the pools and the pool deck. Consider getting robotic pool vacuums to work overnight, every night. Attend to the weeds and grass growing around the outdoor pool. Either remove black mold from awning in outdoor pool area or get a new one. Outdoor chairs are "tired".
Replace windows upstairs where the seal is broken so that they are more energy efficient and people can see through them.
Overall. I feel Genesis is doing the bare minimum. Things are going downhill.
Level of Covid precaution cleaning has really disappointed.
Zumba
The upgrades are nice. I wish someone working there would know how I can use my points for protein drinks. The website says I can use points for that, but nobody at the Lee's Summit Club knows anything about it.
Nothing specifically bad. But when Genesis took over you promoted that there would be upgrades done to the club. It's still the same outdated, bandaid fixed club it's always been for the last 20 years.
Nothing special about the place.
The club is not clean, the parking lot looks like a 3rd world country with potholes and weeds everywhere.
I can easily program my workout based on available equipment. Free weights, cardio and conditioning are fairly easy to blend into a comprehensive workout using the open floor space at the gym.
