I do not believe it's part of existing memberships and we have to pay extra. Just make all genesis locations available to all members.
Love the new layout and spaces, and there’s such a variety of the group fitness classes and the instructors are amazing!!
Size and location
Hate your "club enhancement " fee!!!
Love the remodel. Can't wait for everything to be completed.
Plenty of workout equipment available for all types of fitness enthusiasts.
People continue to violate the mask requirements coming into the lobby and sitting in the lobby. Honestly, until your staff becomes more diligent in meeting the county requirements, I will not go to the gym. Too bad, since the remodel is beautiful. So disappointing. My husband goes to another local gym and they don’t have any problems with mask compliance. Our daughter goes to another gym and it’s the same in that people are compliant. I think your staff is way too slack.
Not make members pay for playing pickleball
*Fix an electrical outlet in the women's locker room (an out-of-order sign has been posted on it since October 2020...It's near a sink, easy to see.)
*Vacuum the floor in the women's locker room, it's filthy.
*Respect and follow Covid guidelines (two male staff behind the counter were without masks Saturday, Feb.20)...one of them leaned in to take my temp.
*Both sanitizer bottles on the table at the entrance were empty when I arrived. I told a staff member. They were still empty when I left 2 hrs later.
I love the indoor lap pool, and the presence of two indoor pools so the lap pool can be used for laps. The whirlpools inside the locker rooms as separate to each gender is very nice too.
I’ve been a member since 24 hour. My only thing is I should’ve had $24 for life and for some reason it didn’t happen. I like the fact you’re 24 hours for the most part until the weekend as I like to get my workout done early. If I can make a suggestion from the standpoint of working in a gym is that you should have a crew on staff cleaning. I worked at the westroads club years ago. We had 2crews constantly cleaning.
Multiple locations, large physical space, full service (towels, showers, protein powder/bars)
Have all equipment working or have work orders on equipment that is not working. Too many pieces of equipment not wo
I asked support for clarification on my membership and did not receive a reply. Ad says members can bring a friend for a limited time. Wanted to clarify if that was for all members or just new members as my friend Id bring lives over 25 minutes away.
I SWIM for about two hours. Good exercise. First name removed
Remodeled, new equipment and facilities latout.
The prices and the equipment
Cleanliness of the Maple Street location and better/consistent weekend hours. Hate the
Ate start of 7 Saturday, 8 Sunday
The staff does a great job in terms of respect and promptness to the members.
I think the golf membership option was also a great idea. I would change a couple of the courses however.
Grandfather anyone who has been a member of genesis/24 hrs fitness for 5 years or more to use Westroads facility without paying additional fees
excellent Manager in Eric and great, friendly staff
Clean locker rooms
I just returned to the gym 3 weeks ago and have attended the Genesis at Ward Parkway, as well as the Independence location. I was hoping that it was safe enough to return, especially since I've continued to pay the monthly fee for all these months now. However, at both gyms, I counted at least 20 people that either had their masks completely down, or only halfway on (not covering their nose). In the steamroom, sauna, and whirlpool (Ward Pkwy locale) 5 people had NO mask on at all, when there are signs posted everywhere that there are no exceptions except for the shower or swimming pool (or to take a drink of water). In the women's dressing room, only 2 out of 10 women had on a mask. I've talked to the staff twice at Ward Parkway, and they seem serious about the rules, but I've not seen anyone being told to wear their mask properly. If people don't feel safe about the gym, and there are enough complaints, all the gyms are at risk of being shut down. I would hate that, because fitness is very important to me, but it's more important that I don't risk contracting a deadly virus because people are too foolish, ignorant, or stubborn to conform to rules that protect us all. I appreciate anything you can do to make Genesis a safe environment. Thank you. First name removed
There was/is no parking particularly at 10 am on Saturday, the gym is dirty with no overnight clean up crew, even allowing for on on-going construction, machines are still not all put together safely though the staff is working on that, construction still gets in the way of using the facilities, (on Saturday access to the tennis courts were blocked by the crew tiling). There are still gaps in the white insulation that should cover the roof, on the good side the staff is very responsive. The pool shows no sign of even being worked on and trying to make arrangements to get Genesis staff that my daughter knows and responds to for swimming lessons at other locations is VERY burdensome or impossible. I have had managers give me an explanation why Genesis staff that are qualified (collegiate varsity swimmers) cannot give lessons at other Genesis facilities but while they gave a clear explanation it reminded me of a government bureaucratic telling me why I had to drop something in the mail rather than hand a copy to them. The last instance is particularly problematic because I joined Genesis for its aquatics for children program and to run into red tape like I have is extremely disappointing particularly while Westroads is closed. I know this note will only get the staff members who gave the explanation in trouble (why can't you handle your troublesome client ! email) but there is the slim hope that someone in upper management will respond to my concerns rather then the fitness manager (who has been and is extremely responsive), the Club manager (who is very responsive once I take a complaint to her) or the regional manager who has always gone out of his way to be nice to me. I have spent and will spend a lot of money on training and other activities at Genesis and it would be nice to get something more than a canned response and explanations that involve corporate red tape that resemble a Franz Kafka novel.
Genesis at 41and Yale in Tulsa. No adequate tv reception on machines. No news channels. Employees keep saying that Genesis is working with Cox to alleviate this problem. Seriously??? The TVs have not worked consistently in a long, long time. Fix this. Does management ever go upstairs to check out the socially distance signs? Many of them have been removed. Again, seriously? We’re STILL in the middle of a pandemic. And lastly, the toilet upstairs has not worked in over a week. When I asked management about this, they expressed surprise. I find it interesting, because there’s a sign on the restroom door. And that sign has been there for over a week. Management doesn’t know this? Disappointing. People like may have made a conscious decision to go to the gym. We expect that the management will take care of these issues and make our trip worthwhile. I have sent numerous text expressing my concerns. Never get a response.
Water aquatics, Zumba and Pilates Reformer. Instructors are knowledgeable and friendly.
Fresh new club
Cleanliness, towels and a variety of exercise equipment
The friendliness of the staff along great equipment. All the clients seem to enjoy the facility, also. It is a great place to have an excellent workout!!
There are some young men who play basketball (not sure they are members). They smell like marijuana and make the locker room smell the same.
I like that you have an open floor plan for the club. There are different ways that every person works out, and you seem to be able to accommodate all of them. I have been in at different times of the day, and though sometimes it can be crowded, it seems there is plenty of room to get a good workout.
