So many things have not been good lately. The hot tub in the pool area was so gross for 2 entire days a couple weeks ago. I brought it to the attention of the front desk but the next day it was even worse. It looked like it had black mold around the edges. The mirror in the women's shower room is so bad. The toilet in the women's shower room didn't work for months. It seems as if there is no one around to do maintenance and the place is getting worse. There are no towel hooks on the back of the toilet doors-many of them are broken off.
The heating? Units in the pool area are so rusty and rust pieces are falling off and they just lay there on the floor.
It would be so nice to have some kind of a manager to talk to when there are issues to be taken care of instead of just whoever is at the front desk. There is talk of the indoor pool being drained and we in the water classes have not been informed of this.
Good service
I like the locker room and that you provide towel service
I was told last year AND this year that as soon as the outdoor pool opened, the inside pool would be drained and cleaned. Do you just continually lie to the members??
Most of the machines (treadmills, bikes, etc.) in the cardio area have no audio for the TVs. The few that do have audio have only the audio feed from TV #7. The audio problem has existed since the new machines were installed. I don't think that I should have to watch TV on my phone because the large screen TVs have no audio.
More evening classes especially for dance
Better prices and better hours. Closing at 6 on weekends is horrible and has made people leave their memberships because of it
Please get new towels ….I realize it’s an expense however maybe buy a few at a time always and infuse new ones and destroy some of the oldest ones!
Bring back the steam room!
Personal training, equipment, outdoor pool

I have a trainer named Shelby and I think she is the best
It’s well known that the place is very dirty and has lost its appeal and no matter how much feedback about it you get, nothing has been done about this situation.
Honestly, I don’t think there is a genuine interest in correcting this. This survey seems to be superfluous.
Price and friendly atmosphere.
The gym equipment needs a good cleaning more often, many of the spray bottles leak or are broken, the (men’s) locker room is often a mess and many of the locks on the lockers are broken. For what we pay monthly I believe this is not asking too much.
Fix certain machines and mirrors
Your new general manager has not put out business cards yet, it has been over a month since he took over. The mirrors , floors and ceiling fans in the aerobic room are always dirty:
There’s not enough hand weights in the aerobics room for everyone. The club is short equipment.
I enjoy the classes and instructors that I attend.
The gym is great and I would recommend the other location to people at a 9 or 10. The only problem I have with midtown is the instructor in the classes is so loud that even with my head phones turn to max a can still hear the instructor in them even if I’m on the farthest point from the room they are in. But I’m sure it’s a known thing because a lot of the members in midtown joke about it. But no big deal we just started to go to your other locations.
I go to the Overland Park club at 110th and think the upgraded membership is worth the extra cost. We play tennis and also like the classes and equipment there better than the north club off 103rd St.
I like most everything about the club except that the locker room and showers etc need serious updating.
1. Temperature control is not good in the building. 2. Towels have been in short supply this summer, both big and small, at various times. 3. Genesis is blessed to have some long-serving fitness teachers who were around well before the current management took over. I don’t think you appreciate what you have - well attended classes speak for themselves even if the teaching doesn’t fit your paradigm. Don’t screw it up.
Check cardio machines so that all your cable channels are accessible. No service for channels 2 though 26 and 30-32. Been out for weeks on the 3 ellipticals across from stair climbers. Disinfectant bottles leak when squeezing trigger all over your hand and not all provide a good mist preferable for cleaning large areas.
A bit on the pricy side. Especially for some one who has been with you as long as I have. probably will try and find a place offering a reasonable price for long term customers as soon as I have time too. First name removed
Matty at North overland park is always ready to help with membership problems
I have been a member for almost 20 years. The club feels like home to me.
Please know that the paper towel dispenser on the right side of the sinks in the bathroom of the men’s locker room has been inoperative for weeks. It would be nice for it to be working properly.
Thank you
Like the neighborhood feel. I miss the clock in the pool. Would love if the clock could return to the East wall. when swimming, one has no idea what time it is. Also, clocks were moved outside of the studio upstairs. I like to use the clocks while lifting, especially on East side outside of studio. I miss spin teacher Kris Bethay. From other teachers, it sounds like the North location is one of the few who don't have the updated / computerized Stages technology. Would love to have that. Not a problem to me, but the microphone in spin room doesn't work most of the time.
