It's a nice gym. I like the location and I like the view of Aksarben out the windows. It's tucked away enough that there isn't alot of traffic to get to it and there's a parking garage.
Easy access...always clean. Plenty of workout options, even when it’s busy.
I like the winds range of equipment and machines offered. I also like the location.

Clean and a lot of variety
The group fitness classes are my favorite. No other gym can provide that like Genesis does.

Genesis Health Clubs is an outstanding fitness club. I have been a loyal member for years
Centrally located to many areas of the community. Classes are lined up to fit any person's schedule. The swimming pool and locker rooms are spacey. You don't feel crunched up on each other when it is time to come and go. The workout equipment is different and there are many choices to select from.
Alot of choices for working out, not too crowded early morning. One improvement would be newer towels

The remodel was the stupidest thing you could’ve done. Your group exercise area is way too small. That should’ve been upstairs. This community needs more gym space, you took it away. You have way too many people in the gym because you keep offering free memberships and bring a friend and now the place is packed. And it’s especially packed in group exercise in the gym.
Member prices
I only lift weights, but some of the equipment could use updates/repairs (bearings, bushings, cables). Better distribution of the plates would be nice, too. Sometimes I have to go on a big search to find a 25lb plate. Other than that, good variety of equipment with enough options to handle higher traffic. I've seen pictures of other Genesis facilities that look really nice, so an overall facelift would be good to see too.
The club needs to do more to encourage its members to wear masks in common areas. This is not emphasized very much and has been a consistent problem since the pandemic began. While the current policy may (or may not) comply with johnson county health regulations, it certainly does not seem to be a priority for the club to take care of its members in this way. I am aware of several members who have contracted Covid from Genesis clubs.
The machines break quite often and take a long time to fix.
Right now there are 5 treadmills that aren’t operational.
I like how everyone seems to really want to take care of you.
Clean and replace equipment when broke. Movie room down for how long now?

The renovations make Westroads a workout destination where everything is clean and new. 👏
It's the perfect size, the machines and facility are clean, and the employees are friendly.
Parking lot had ice on it and I fell this morning, door attendant was unable to find salt to put down. He was very helpful with me falling. But parking lot and outside of building needs serious attention.
It’s convenient and has what I need.
