One of my buddies and I work out almost every Saturday morning together and he says that this is the best Genesis in KC area!
I agree, morning routines are uninterrupted and the fellow early birds seem to enjoy that it as well!
Clean the facility
Women’s shower and bath area needs a makeover. Indoor pool needs a major scrubbing. Towels are in terrible shape. Need a supply of small towels at the window alongside big ones.
Reinforce with customers to not drop barbells, return equipment to where it belongs, LOCK belongings in the lockers, clean up after themselves, don’t sit on equipment just to talk on the phone.
80% of the treadmills are broke in that either the electronics screens do not work or the track slips (very dangerous). The lack of upkeep is egregious on such a keep component of the gym such as your fleet of treadmills. Also, broken faucets in the men's bathroom that are never fixed is another ongoing problem. There was a rubber end on handle bars on equipment that took over a year to fix. I spoke to manager and he said they have to wait for management/ownership to do an a complete overhaul and are not maintaining the property on a piece mail basis. Seems like maintenance is not in the budget or part of the culture of the owners.
Keeping facilities in working order would be a great start!
The facility doesn't repair equipment promptly, the gym is dirty, and it is always too warm in the main workout room. (Midtown)
Equipment is old and it takes months for it to get fixed. Lockers in lockerrooms are busted up (not fixed). Sauna and showers are not very clean.

That you open at 5 am. Wish it was earlier on Saturday and Sunday though. I love that Kim is the one who greets us every weekday morning. She is amazing and I hope you never lose her.
Not a disappointment, just better options. Gym is outdated, poorly managed and limited to no upkeep. Equipment is outdated and usually something is alwas broke. .
I think some of the cardio machines like the stair masters and bikes and treadmills could use some updating. The free weight benches need some updating as well.
I wish there was a way to opt out of tennis pros that you haven't met in person from texting to come to classes.
It’s clean the equipment is in good shape. But some of the staff is not very friendly, especially upfront, but that’s OK.. I think it’s always important to smile. When you see a customer walk-through 😁
Mats and weights in classroom are falling apart.
I'm at Miramont South. Things keep getting worse every month. A year ago I gave a top rating to this club. Now too many things are broken or are not working. For starters, I realize the impact of COVID and supply chain issues, as well as labor shortages. The swimming water extractor has been broken for at least 3 months. There has been a shortage of towels because supposedly one of the dryers was broken. The hot tub is currently inoperable. The steam room is currently inoperable. Is this a conscious choice to save money -- far too many things do not work for extended periods of time? Very disappointed with this place right now....

Amenities, ease of access and friendly staff. On multiple occasions the staff has gone above and beyond to make my membership smooth and seamless.

1. We need dumbbells that are in 2.5 increments. Saturday I was doing bent-over reverse flys and the 15's were too light. My only option was to move up to 20's. 5 lbs extra on one shoulder is a lot. On my second rep, I felt my shoulder pop, and now I'm dealing with an injury that hopefully won't require surgery.
2. We need more incline benches in the free weight areas. They are always in use, and it's difficult to stick to my workout plan without it.
3. The spin bikes need some serious work.
cleanliness and old equipment. There are at least 5 machines that would improve the free weight area. The dumbbell rack is still busted. The leg extension machine was broken for at least 4 weeks. There have been reports of athletes foot being caught in the men's room. Slapping paint on a kettlebell doesn't fool any of us.

Workers attitudes half your staff are nice other half and few off your main workers have sour attitude
The personal training staff are always using a majority of the equipment during peak hours. Often times one trainer/client pair will have 2 or 3 barbells leaving squat racks and benches unusable due to the shortage in equipment. Or the staff will have clients on equipment for a majority of their session instead of rotating off to do exercises that don't require it. There is almost always trash laying around the gym as well. The gym would be great if operations were tighter.
