Water pressure in showers.
Towels are poor even compared to other Genesis locations.
Update hand weights for classes.
TV reception on exercise equipment is usually poor.
Keep lockers cleared out and clean.
This location is taking apart. Three out of the six sinks in the men's bathroom have been clogged for months. The steam room is broke just as much as it works. The steam room and sauna have burnt out lights and have been for months. The handle to steam room has been missing for at least six months. The spray bottles the that supply cleaning solution on equipment are always empty and the paper towels too. Majority of the time I go there are no towels.
The place is not very clean, air conditioning breaks frequently
We have fabulous instructors! The gym will be great, just patiently waiting for the renovation to be completed :-) Also wondering if it would be possible to make the Wednesday bodyflow class that follows core, to be an hour long class rather than 30 minutes. I believe there is not another class in the gym til 4:45. Thanks!
It has everything I need to workout and is not overcrowded with people.
I love the pool, and I try to get there as much as possible… Most every day… The locker rooms are clean, towels are provided… The staff is extremely friendly and courteous
Get some new machines. Your 20-year old ones are falling apart.
The equipment is in constant need of being fixed, (displays, elliptical tracks/rollers rough, treadmill decks and displays, many pieces need a bit of an overhaul. A few DBs and BBs also could use some maintenance or replacement. Overall enjoy the club, but weekend hours close too early for our family to enjoy the facility in the evenings sometimes

Be a little more customer friendly and helpful
The Ladies Locker Room Showers have not been finished in time. I understand that neither has the men’s Locker Room Shower either. We were told the job was to be complete this Summer 2022. I am not able to shower after swimming because of it..
Also,I sat down with Chad, the manager in May 2021 to update my membership since I’m now on Medicare and have the Medicare Advantage. According to the coverage, I’m supposed to get my membership waived. My account continues to be withdrawn with the same monthly charge as before Medicare.
Lastly, the posted Family Swimming times are never enforced. This is frustrating as a member who swims laps and there are children in the pool.

Good equipment
While I enjoy the option for classes, the pool, and the workout space, I would hesitate to recommend membership to others because of the cost and lack of additional features (free personal trainers, tanning beds, massage chairs, 24/7 access etc.) which other gyms in Topeka offer.
Genesis has great staff and culture which Keri’s me coming back, but as a simple cost versus benefit analysis there are probably other competing gyms that offer more features at a lower monthly cost.
The club offers a variety of equipment in a clean and positive atmosphere. The staff is friendly and always willing to answer questions.
Cleanliness
Clean the shower stalls to include the moldy grout. Keep items in working order such as sauna, hot tub and swim suit spinner,
I really enjoy the group fitness and the family that it has created for me! I have a large group of people supporting me and sharing our goals together.
Nothing
You charge an annual “improvement fee”. Don’t see any improvements made at the South Location. Bench seats in the free weight section are torn. Flooring tiles visibly dirty.
Clean, update equipment new sauna and steam hot tub.
Once the construction is finished I think it will be great. (hopefully you will announce that when it happens?) I have been using one of your other locations until the construction is done.
I prefer the amenities available at 70 & A. There is more available in the showers, hot tub, dry sauna, wet sauna, pool.
I love that the gym is close to home but some days I wish the gym had a trap bar and a hip thrust machine.
Lots of repair work needed. Most notably the pecfly-deltfly machined facing the hand weights, the handles are broken so the adhesive gets on your hands every use. Also broken tiles in the entrance to the men's bathroom.
Water fountain by the squat rack/ women changing room is cooled so room temperature.

Men's bathroom has a out of service stall for over 3 months.
Tricep press machine isn't bolted to the ground like it should be and regularly moves during heavy sets.
Nothing horrible but lots of little things that gives the gym a 15-20$ a month feel at a 50$ a month price.
While the facility is probably on the lower end with its hot and humid locker rooms, the club itself is always hot like the air conditioner isn't working properly and the ceiling keeps falling down on the second floor, the staff and people that go there make up for it. The staff are always friendly, courteous and know you by name. They are always willing to help and answer questions. The people that are members do not judge and encourage each other. While I would love to see updates made, sometimes it's not the building that makes the club.
Improve the cleanliness of the gym and locker rooms. Saunas are very dirty and are frequently not working. Place towels in locker room for easier access!
Friendly staff. Overall, the equipment is good.. However, some of the equipment is in need of repair or is out of service. There is one stationary bike that has been out of service and another one sounds like the gears are going out or the left peddle is bad..
