I've reported the same issues time and time again.
The cleanliness of the club is bad, look under dumbell rack and it looks like it's never been touched. The dumbbells rack and dumbells smell like a middle school locker room,Treadmills usually have some old Sweat on it or just dusty and dirty. The bathroom doesn't ever have antibacterial soap, just body wash.
The safety issues. Broken sides on treadmills used to step on fall off if you step on them. Those machines should be unplugged or tagged that they are out of service.
Broken stationary bike peddles and or not adjusted inside and cause slipping while peddling.
Sit down bike have Broken back parts that fall right off.
Belts on more then half of the treadmills are worn out and cause unpleasant noises or mid step stoppages.
Broken, no adjust, about to break or stretched out cables on cable machines
Bent, Broken, half there, cheap attachments for cable machine along with always missing Carabiners that aren't rated for over the weight thats being lifted for safety and just bend.
Parking lot wasn't done ir even salted last year and people where walking on pure ice. For the younger ones not such a big deal but older members can slip and fall and take the gym to court.
Also instead of the employees sitting on the counters get them a stool so they can sit and be welcoming to members coming and going.
Also the gym doesn't get reset most times after trainers use them for group Work outs.
These issues have been reported around 10 times to staff, management and corporate. Spending all that money to rebuild and make it better is going to waste and for what people are paying for this gym they aren't feeling the value. I've had 2 people sign up and go now they are both gone because of these issues.
I will say the towel issue has got better also opening at 4am was a plus so thank you for that.
Please do better, let's really make this club number one in KC.
The pool has been down for far too long with no end in sight. Facility is dirty. Shower drains have hair in them. In one of the bathroom sinks water flows in a drip. Paper towel dispenser provides a teeny towel. The entire place looks cheap and uncared for. Not enough classes because there aren’t enough instructors.
Friendly staff . Love the classes ( Zumba, barre, Pilates)
How friendly the staff are, as well as the equipment in the gym is very nice and easy to use
Great staff that are friendly and always ready to help.. clean facilities, quality equipment and the ability to work out around my schedule
Better pool & shower facilities; better communication through social media when the pool is down; more programming on Thursdays & Fridays.

Have TVs connected to all the machines. Move stationary bikes further back from TVs. Doors on the showers. Acknowledge members when they check in; instead of sitting on the back counter chatting.
More adult court time on weekends
The classes, pool, and saunas.

The value of what I was getting as a new member has diminished.
Instead of 3 clubs to choose available and competent instructors with I have 2.
Instead of a few good quality instructors, I have a couple.
Instead of convenient class time, I have limitations.
Helpful coaches
I was asked once by another member when I was going to be done on a machine. This was while I was doing reps. I had not been sitting looking at my phone taking up space on a machine as others often do. I am conscientious of others. The floor was fairly empty at the time. I understand you not having any control over others behaviors, however, I brought it to the attention of an employee nearby and she just shrugged it off and mumbled "yeah, he shouldn't do that". She never asked who it was or the circumstances. I don't think its going to be fixed if its not addressed. I felt insignificant and unimportant bc I am female maybe?
I have never worked out in a gym that is so cold. Quite often towels are not available. The eqipment staked around the basketball/pickelball courts is dangerous.
Response to concerns could improve. It took weeks and weeks before the ladies showers had curtains. And where are the doors? It would be an improvement to post a more waterproof sign about towels pulling the curtain rods down.
Going to Genesis is the bright spot of my day. My personal trainer Joe Humiston is awesome. Not only is he very knowledgeable about what he is doing, he also cares. I feel like he cares about my overall health.
I also started playing tennis earlier this year. I feel like the instructors really care, too. I have met a lot of new people through tennis and enjoy it.
I am thankful for the community that I have at Genesis in Salina!
The club isn't as clean as it used to be. It also feels/smells musty at times.
Wish there were better classes and times with 30 minute offerings.
The group classes are amazing, but due to an injury, I stopped attending the gym from April to august. When I came back in august, the place is dirtier, the towels are so dingy, and I can’t get a log in card so I have to stop by the desk to check in which is a hassle. The group fitness room always has something wrong that seems to take a long time to fix (air conditioning, receiver for the instructors microphone, etc). I will still keep my membership because I love to instructors and the classes offered and I would recommend the classes to others.
The classes
Replace the padding on some of the machines. Some are showing severe wear. Facility is showing its age.
I really enjoy the 2 classes of Senior Aerobics/Circuit that Deb O. teaches as well as the 2 classes of Fit for Life that Pam teaches. I have stopped attending the Friday morning Sr. Aerobics as I felt I was not getting any benefit from it.
The equipment is pretty good but the locker rooms and bathrooms/sauna/shower are not nice and typically feel dirty.
way way too slow for a reconstruction project! Most times I am at the club no one is working-come on!
Communication is NOT good. There were no emails, texts, not even a sign on the front door indicating the pool was closed a few weeks ago. One Saturday morning I took a class and was going to shower but the locker room was already closed which was 2 days before the notice date! The showers that are now available barely work if at all. No electricity in the ladies locker room. Really? Also, the lap pool is too cold for me to swim at the Ridgeview location.
It seems that despite being a upgrade, one machine or another is consistently out of service. Also there never seems to be any towles in the evening. During the day it's not a problem
Group fitness classes are excellent, just wish the studios were bigger to accommodate the many members who attend.
The water is cold in the showers and everything breaks frequently with out getting fixed frequently
The small equipment at the North location is old and needs replacing. The mats are ancient, theres not enough foam rollers, the tension bands are splitting and the kettlebells are chipping. Things like that don’t make it a very nice environment for the amount membership charges. Also, The air conditioning doesn’t work half the time in the summer.
The Facilities has equipment that is broken and the facility is not as clean as it should be.
There are also not enough cycling classes available for those who like to cycle.
